“i really liked this restaurant!! i got the fish and shrimp dinner with mac and cheese and it was not to disappoint!! the mac and cheese was very very good and same with my fish. my only complaint was the cornbread. it was very hard and dry. for dessert my family shared a banana cake which was one of the best desserts i’ve had in a while. it tasted just like banana bread!! the workers were very kind and i recommend eating here!!“

“Food and service is always good here. They can be crowded at times but they tend to move fast. We tried the smoked catfish dip, our server suggested topping it with the green hot sauce, very good suggestion took the dip to another level, it was just okay without the hot sauce. Our server was very attentive, so sweet and patient. I wanted Blackened Catfish and this did not disappoint, it was soooo good. The catfish is always good here. Another table had the hot wings and they looked very good, so I have to try those next time. Would recommend!Parking: Parking is in the back of the building if you can get one if the very few spots in the front.“

“Square Meal Cafe catered an event for my mom. The food was beyond delicious!! The lamp chops where cooked perfectly. The seafood salad was beyond good, but that key lime pie showed out. I could have ate that all night. Definitely would recommend them for any event.“

“Very affordable dinner especially recommend the meat plus two vegetables with bread. Only thing that is a disappointment are the deserts. Cobbler is not fresh, seems stale. Hope they'll consider improving their deserts. Fried eggplant for a vegetable is especially a nice pick that few restaurants offer.“

“What a treat! This is food that is prepared with love and caring. I only had vegetables and yet they were amazing. Cooked nicely — yams were soft and sweet, green beans were soft without being mushy, mac and cheese creamy and perfection, in other words it was everything expected!Oh — and cornbread worthy of a southern cook!Looks like they have different choices daily. Look forward to returning and trying some chicken.“
