“I just picked up a veggie pizza which I have had before but not recently. The pizza was loaded with veggies and was fresh and so tasty! The lemon pie is pretty good too. Thanks for a very satisfying supper. I will definitely be back. I did not have to wait long at all.“

“We had lunch at this location today. The food is delicious but I have 2 comments. The penne with white clam sauce is more like Alfredo with clams in it. Delicious but not authentic. White clam sauce should just have olive oil, garlic, clams and clam juice. I cannot recommend the eggplant parmigiana at all. It was paper thin eggplant slices with a thick oily breadcrumb layer smothered in marinara and mozzarella cheese not parmesan. It was not appealing and I couldn’t eat it. But the garlic knots were the best I’ve ever had. Freshly baked and swimming in a very nice garlic butter. The salads were fresh and the calamari was perfect. So I recommend the place just not it’s authenticity and definitely not the eggplant dish!“

“My recent visit to The Black Olive in Johnson City was a delightful experience from start to finish. My partner, Becky, had the Berry Bliss Salad with grilled chicken, and I opted for the Downtown Chicken with a side of asparagus with a vinaigrette reduction. Both dishes were absolutely amazing, bursting with fresh flavors and expertly prepared. Our server, Cam, was truly exceptional—friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect meal. The tap beverages were refreshing, and the warm, fluffy loaf of bread they brought to the table was the perfect start to our meal. Overall, this place hit all the right notes—great food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!“

“My true review is a 3.5 out of 5. Let's get down to it.... I get offended by people claiming NY style when it is no where near NY style. First of all you can't claim NY and be cheap on your toppings, sauce included. At $2.50 a topping | should be having toppings in every bite and this fell short. I wanted to like them because the crust what the right flavor and crispness, and the sauce when you had it on your bite was perfection. But this was like being a teenager getting teased by your bf or gf endlessly waiting for something to happen but never does. And you're left behind wanting more but with overwhelming disappointment at the same time. I know it sounds harsh but just claim it as what it is. Take the NY style off the door unless you want to be more consistent, add extra sauce to your pizza, and quit being cheap on the toppings and make that pie greasy with goodness and you'll have something.“

“Stopped in for a quick lunch on Friday 07MAR25 with my kiddo and was impressed with the service and also the food. We ordered 2 lunch specials (2 slices, a drink, and chips) for just about $20. We live in Greeneville so the options we have are severely limited for fresh pizza. Have lived here since ‘09 and can say Stephen’s is definitely one of the best we’ve had to date!! Will be back anytime I have work in the area for sure!!“
