Went to Captain D’s in Kingsport, Tennessee this evening had the worst service I’ve ever had from any restaurant after waiting in the drive-through for 10 minutes I ordered a super sampler which was supposed to be two fish two chicken, eight shrimp, two sides I had fries and chose extra hush puppies as my other side Asked for cocktail sauce, sweet-and-sour sauce, and vinegar drove from Kingsport to Surgoinsville I think it might be 27 miles to open my box and not a shrimp...read full review

However, some customers have reported issues with their orders, such as missing condiments, napkins, and cutlery. Additionally, there have been instances where the food was cold, and the chicken was dry with hard breading. The slaw was also mentioned as tasting like just cabbage and mayo.
Despite these occasional challenges, one customer had a positive experience when their order was wrong. The store manager, Tyler, apologized and offered a free meal equivalent to what the customer had spent, as well as an additional 6 hush puppies. This customer appreciated the store's willingness to make things right and noted that Captain D's treats its customers with respect, unlike some other fast-food establishments.
