Awaken is worth the 25 minute drive for me. This environment inside the quaint lil' coffee shop is so peaceful. When I want to bring a friend or be alone (but around other people) this is where I go! Bring a book, your computer, and a need for caffeine or small bites. The staff are LITERALLY AMAZING. love each of them. Lastly (but not least-ly!) the coffeeeee. Amazing with the traditional choices or my favorite that has toasted marshmallows on top!
What a charming spot! The shop is inside an old brick building with tons of character. For my first visit I ordered a cherry cordial coffee (delicious!) and went up to the quiet room upstairs to work. There is so much historic character and such a relaxing atmosphere here. I'll absolutely be going back!Parking: Located right next to a paid parking lot on W Jackson Ave. There are also paid street spots/other lots within walking distance around Old City nearby.

This has become our favorite coffee shop. The staff here are always friendly and welcoming! Absolutely love trying all of the specials that they come up with for the different. Hard to say what I would call a favorite because you would have to find a favorite from each special list! But when in doubt, the s'mores is never a bad choice. The breakfast options are also very good and fresh. Have tried a burrito, which was really good, but tend to learn to the lemon bars!
