“One afternoon on my laptop at Seed Coffee Knoxville was all it took to realize I’d found the best coffee shop in Knoxville for getting real remote work done. The place nails the sweet spot between lively and distraction‑free—something not all Knoxville coffee shops manage. First thing that hooked me? The Sonos speakers. In addition to giving quality sound, they have good placement. They sit down low, not too far from ear level. Most of the other coffee shops in Knoxville mount them up high like they do in department stores. Their better placement results in a full, warm sound that fills the room without having to turn the volume to 11—immersing you in the sound while remaining distraction free. Small detail. Huge difference. The layout and decor sets Seed apart. It's set in a daylight basement with windows on one side, letting in constant natural light to keep you awake while still maintaining the cozy nook atmosphere that we all love about the best coffee shops. The shop is split into two rooms, letting you choose between vibes. Oftentimes, one is more chatty while the other room remains quiet. Plus, they keep a little jungle’s worth of plants that lets the room breathe. The furnishing is just as flexible. You can sink into a leather couch, perch on a high bar stool (I use this as a standing desk), or settle in at one of the many two-tops. Their coffee holds its own. I’m a black‑drip guy and theirs pours smooth. No burnt bite. No weird aftertaste. Order “for here” and they hand you a ceramic mug. A warm touch that carries quality. And fast Wi-Fi, too. “I have been to Perk City a few times now and I love it. The owner is always kind, efficient, and always asks me taste my coffee to make sure I am completely satisfied. They nail it every time. I love the relaxed atmosphere. It's a great place to study, meet with friends, or even just vibe. “I've become extremely picky with my coffee and espresso that it is rare these days that I love a latte outside of my favorite places and do not enjoy the syrups at majority of places so I always just get a cortado or Americano. I first tried Five and Hoek while visiting Wheaton and was absolutely amazed by their home made syrups, I've had nothing like it and I try the best coffee shops everywhere I go all over the country. When I saw this location on a road trip I knew I needed to make a stop and was just as pleased. If you are a true high quality coffee lover this place is for you. Absolutely shocked at the person that called it average. Nothing average about these amazing home made syrups, currently enjoying the whisky vanilla. Also shout out to the super sweet girl at the register who gave my daughter a free latte because we've been to both locations!“

“The last times I’ve visited coffee shops around Knoxville, the experiences Jacobean great-drinks either overflow with too much coffee, milk, or creamer, or they’re just a bit off. That’s why I started going to Scooter’s , and every single time my Oreo Blender has been perfect. I usually swap out whole milk for almond milk at other places, but Scooter’s does such amazing job that I can enjoy it with whole milk and it still tastes fantastic. The customer service is always flawless, too!“

“So I was going to 7 Brew Coffee in Lenoir City. But had an unfortunate experience. Someone else left an experience and said they go to Dutch Brothers because it’s BETTER. I had to check it out. I’m very happy with it so now if I’m near the area I’ll just go here if I want a coffee and NOT 7 Brew. This place had Charisma when I visited. “Staying at a nearby hotel with limited breakfast choices, I made the short walk to Just Love Coffee and it did not disappoint. I had a spinach and feta womelette, and my only regret was not getting the salsa (instead of sour cream). Very light and fluffy omelette with the perfect amount of spinach. The coffee was suburb. I drink decaf and ordered a latte. When the barista asked for milk options, she suggested oat milk (her favorite). It did not disappoint and now I’m a convert! So yummy. I will definitely come back when I’m here and try the lunch options next.“

The blueberry breakfast sandwich and blueberry biscuits were buttery and soft. Excellent experience and we will be back next time we’re in the area. Highly recommend!“

“I’ve been getting my breakfast, lunch, & even cravings at this Starbucks location on Chapman Hwy for almost five years now just for these specifically three reasons great customer service, always getting everything I ask for even if it’s my very specific brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso, & the most friendliest workers. I really like how everyone in this store specifically always have made my orders with no problem or giving food half cooked like the others not to name any stores but I’d like to spread awareness about it so the Starbucks that’s bad which is Cumberland Ave they absolutely are disgusting don’t go there unless you get a drink. “I am actually a bit saddened after today. I love this place and come here ALMOST daily for about two years, I had to delete my great review to create this one. Yesterday I ordered a hazelnut truffle mocha drink, about half way home I took my first drink and realized it was not hazelnut truffle but banana, after a couple more sips to make sure I wasn’t tripping I couldn’t take it and almost a whole coffee went down the drain. So today I went back, nicely let the guy know they messed my drink up and he didn’t offer to make it right, so I paid for my drink and that was that. After two years of being a loyal customer, not just me but also my husband and all his employees, I figured it would be a give in replace the drink they messed up, I’ve never once complained and actually this was the first time they got my drink wrong, so I was shocked by the lack of “let me make this right” mentality. Still love this place, but I think they outta make sure customers get what they paid for.“

“I am a retired professor, who has been going to Starbucks coffee shops for decades. This particular coffee shop is one of my regular hangouts to read and relax over a cuppa or three. Very friendly and courteous staff. Plenty of space (it is larger than many other Starbucks coffee shops I have visited over the years), and parking is a breeze. Raj“

“My granddaughter brought me a drink when Covid was really bad on Mother’s Day of 2020 and that was when I first fell in love with Hey Bear. I’ve had so many wonderful family memories there with my grandkids and one son and daughter. They also make the best Boba tea that I’ve had in either Sevier or Knox County. I love that they have the swing for the kids and the outside entertainment and the fire pits and outside heat for when it’s cold.“

“Our scruffy little city has one of the best donut shops in the world, and I don’t think enough people know it.

I’ve eaten donuts all over the world and it’s one of my favorite things to try when visiting a new city in order to rank and review. I grew up in Memphis with what I consider to be one of the best donut shops around, which is Gibson’s. Beaver dough is even better than Gibson‘s and one of the best donut shops I’ve been to in the country if not the world .

I have been to over 50 different donut shops at this point and Beaver dough is what I always find myself comparing to. They have the best donut style cinnamon rolls I have ever had and the chocolate glaze donut is my favorite donut in the world.

As snobby as it sounds I usually can tell when a shop is going to be good and if they sell other items besides donuts it’s usually a bad sign. Beaver dough’s bagels and bagel sandwiches are pretty awesome as well so it’s equally impressive and ironic they are my favorite. The staff are always so nice and help as well!“
