“Today was my first day trying Nadas Empanadas, and I couldn't be more happy! I am ecstatic that we finally have an empanada place in Knoxville, and the food and service was 10/10. You can guarantee this will be a new regular spot for me. There was a bit of a wait, but it was more than worth it, and the family running it had amazing customer service and said thank you and checked on everyone multiple times.I tried each of the meat savory options, which were chicken, beef and cheese, and chorizo and potato. I also did 2 sweet options which were the banana and guava. My 2 favorites were the Beef and Cheese Empanada and the banana one for dessert. But they were ALL delicious.Omg the banana was SOOO good! It's a must try. Please try this place out!!“
“The location is perfect if you are heading to a show at the Tennessee Theatre. The vibe is fresh, yet cozy. The food. Just wow. Knoxville has needed a tapas option of this caliber for so long. I could have easily thought I was in DC based on atmosphere, the dining experience, and the quality of presentation & the uniqueness of the offerings. Complex, yet not. Flavorful, but not overbearing in any way. The Yucca Fries - just wow! The peanut butter mousse was to die for! And so many GF options. Just an excellent experience!Dietary restrictions: Great GF options!“
“I've been here a couple of times now and the food has been great both times. I have had a couple of baleadas which were so delicious. The tortillas are clearly house made, they're thick and soft and pillowy. Sooo freaking good. I have also had some assorted pupusas and man they were on point. Hot, crispy, and soft. Somehow even the salsa is better, it's ridiculous. Prices are very reasonable. Baleada in the picture is enormous and was less than $5. Go for the Honduran food. Even if you don't know what you're ordering it's gonna be good.“
“This is one of my favorite restaurants in Knoxville. The food is made to order and legit, but the ordering process can be so hit or miss. There is definitely a language barrier, which I understand, but sometimes I feel they can be a little rude (depending on who it is). I like it when they have their children running the register bc they can translate better.“
“This is a great locally owned Mexican restaurant and ice cream store. There's always a bunch of people eating, but you usually don't have to wait for a seat. Food is brought out quickly within five or seven minutes in most of the three visits I've had there. They have your own salsa bar that you can make your own combinations and nice bar with various mixed drinks as well as beers and ice cream store is incredible. Homemade popsicle type treats and homemade ice cream of flavors including the ones you normally see and a few that you rarely see like mango and most of queso cheese ( it is amazing). Petrillos has become one of our regular places to grab a really nice meal. They also have a bodega next door that even has a butcher shop in it.Wheelchair accessibility: Concrete ramp access to the front door. Also outside seating with tables and chairs, and covered area as well as a side porch.“
“Everything was delicious, but The Steak was outstanding. The pallea was perfect, too. Great quality food at a reasonable price. My only complaint was that the front door slammed constantly, so I'd ask to be seated in the booths in the back next time.“
“My husband and I stopped here after searching for restaurants nearby on Google and seeing the 5 star rating lured me in. My husband isn’t crazy about trying new things so he wasn’t too excited about going but I really wanted to try it. Neither of us were disappointed. The staff were so friendly. They asked my husband if he would like to sample their juices. He did and ordered the tamarind juice. He loved it.We ordered the dish that had fries, half a chicken, sausage, pickled veggies on top and a house sauce. It was so flavorful! I love the house sauce. The chicken was so tender. I definitely want to come here again.“
