On brief vacation with my lovely wife, our hotel clerk suggested Monterrey which was close by. Visited of Friday evening and the place was packed. Many of the patrons appeared to be of Mexican descent, always a good sign of good, authentic food. We have been coming here for 3 years, since we bought our house in the area. This has become our weekly family dinner out, and they(staff)have become like family to us. The food is extraordinary, the service and staff are fantastic. When our friends and relatives come to visit, going to Monterrey’s is a given. Tonight we travellers popped into Monterrey’s a bit sheepishly as we are from out of town and didn’t know whether this might be a decent place to eat….
When we saw the crowded tables of family diners, we knew we had chosen well. Monterrey’s has a huge menu, modest pricing and cold beer and soda.. our wait person Armando spoiled us with his efficient service and our meals were delicious!
