The food is good though I'm not sure I would call it the best in town. I generally get a pretty unwelcoming vibe most times I come here. I always feel like the cashier is annoyed that I don't walk in the door knowing what I want and need more than 10 seconds to look the menu over. This is a local "you have to know the drill" kind of place. Walk up, order, grab your beverage, have a seat and they'll bring it to you. We had the Philly, which was good, not great. The okra was good, the fries were okay. I've had a burger at their other location and it was pretty good.
The food is good when they actually have what you want. Went on the weekend and everything my wife would ask for, the cashier would say "oh we're out". She did that like four times. They had the basics. There's a better deli about 5 miles north of Fountain City. I'll let you figure that one out for yourself.
