My mother took us to the Tokyo Mandarin in Halls when we were kids back in the 90's. I return to Knoxville frequently and ate there with my mother just this week. are under the mistaken idea that the restaurant has new owners. The restaurant was just handed down from father to son and unfortunately still has the same tired menu as it did back in the 90's. The restaurant has not been updated in years, still tired and old looking inside and outside. The owner's are a wonderful family....read full review
I’ve been going to Tokyo & Mandarin since I was about 5 years old . I’m now 16. This is definitely a very calm environment and I love that. The service and food is always amazing! My sister and I go often. They’ve never disappointed. I wish they still had hibachi on Sunday but I understand understaffing. The family that runs it is always so polite and hospitable. The waitress that is there every single day is the sweetest woman and amazing at her job! 100/10 recommend.
Went in there tonight after work (4pm they had to close early today) had just forgotten to lock the doors. I went in they told me they were closed but I stated I just needed 2 plates to go. They immediately accepted me. Food was still on the buffet and looking very fresh. they let me fill a couple up. And at an awesome price. Fed the family for 12$. Thank you kind people :)
