I recently visited Common John Brewing Co. and overall it was a nice experience. The atmosphere is really cool and unique, the music was subtle and fit the environment well, and they even have a stage for live events. The pizza was excellent, and honestly the ranch was excellent too. I also had a small cider that was pretty good.
That said, there were a few things I didn’t love. The wings were priced around $2 each, which felt pretty expensive, so I ended up ordering...read full review
Love the food and atmosphere! Al’s love that they support local rescue efforts ❤️❤️
We attended a sold-out concert of The Creekers at Common John’s on September 6, 2025. Despite the crowd, the staff handled everything flawlessly. The food from The Mess Hall was delish as always. The Snakebite was also a hit. Kudos to the crew at Common John’s for making it such a great night!

Common John Brewing Co. is a popular spot in Pulaski and Manchester. Customers enjoy the relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the hometown feel that makes them stay awhile. The outdoor area is dog friendly and offers a large space for eating after a hike. The staff is kind and knowledgeable about the brews. They have a stage for live events and subtle music that fits the environment.
Food is a highlight. The pizza is described as the best in town and is excellent. Cidar was also praised for its taste. A small pizza and a small cider cost about $17 after tax. Wings are priced around $2 each and ranch is only $1 for a small cup, which some find expensive. Sandwiches are also great. The online menu sometimes does not match the in‑person menu, which can be confusing. Seating is mostly high‑rise; regular seats are attached to large group tables, so solo or couple diners may prefer the outdoor area.
Brews include the local IPA Neon Octopus, Lawdy Lawdy, and occasional sours that rival those of Knoxville’s Xul or Chattanooga’s Mean King. Customers can collect Tag‑a‑Brew necklaces and stickers, and many buy packs to take home.
Overall, Common John Brewing Co. offers good food, great beer, and a cool atmosphere. It is a hidden gem for locals and travelers alike, though improvements in menu accuracy and seating options would make the experience even better.
