I went to Benihana with a 7:00 reservation for 26 people 3 tables on a Monday. Did I mention we had a reservation for 26 people? You would think they were prepared. We were seated and did not get a cook until 9:45. We had 3 tables you would think they would have at least let our group have the same cooks but the 1st table was served then the second table. Had 3 separate reservations for 5:30,5:45, and 6:00. We did not get a server until nearly 8:00 and didn't get a cook until roughly 9/ 9:30 between all 3 tables. By the time our dining experience was ending it was nearing 11:00. We saw the waitress maybe 3 times during the wait.On one occasion we sent for the manager, to which he never came over. We arrived at 6:40 for our 6:45 reservation and were told it would be a 2 hour wait. We included in our reservation that we were celebrating my daughter’s 8th birthday. She was very upset as was I. But the staff did not seem to care at all and just told us about how they were having a bad day because several staff members didn’t show for work. They could have at least called us before our reservation to let us know in case we wanted to make other plans. I will never be back.
