What a great place! The staff was great. We picked up our meal to go. The chicken was so juicy! The spice was spot on! It kinda has that after hit that is like "How you doin!" Came here while on our anniversary and we would come back to Memphis just for this place alone!

Poor service by waitress. Orders mixed up on 5 tickets, ended up putting all 5 meals on one ticket. The mentally handicapped person with us ended up paying for all because she misunderstood conversation at ckout.Restrooms say so much about the cleanliness of a restaurant. Absolutely must stop place in MemphisWent on a road trip last summer and stopped in Memphis, heard many good things about Gus’ so I went to try it myself. This place really lives up to its name! The food was amazing, I’m not a big fan of chicken, but this chicken is beyond delicious. Best chicken I’ve ever had by far! The atmosphere is great, the service is great, and the location is convenient. Highly recommend this place to anyone planning to stop in Memphis!

Honestly, if you go in a restaurant that looks like this, the food better be amazing. And it is! We tried fried green tomatoes, greens, and the World Famous Fried Chicken. The chicken was juicy and so well seasoned. We may stop again, and we're only in town for the weekend.
