I’ve eaten at Guses in 9 locations in Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi. The quality is nearly identical at each location. It’s the best fried chicken I remember eating in my 73 years. It’s always worth driving for.

Chicken was a little spicy with that kick slaw was light and fresh just need a hint of acid baked beans can use a little turkey meat or some kind of meat in them but overall it was good

When i eat chicken at home I have an odd habit; I take little bits of the best skin, meat, and sauce possible and combine them to make the very best bite i can. Then, for one fleeting moment, I indulge in that bite. The remarkable thing about Gus' chicken is that hoarding the little pieces simply isn't necessary; every bite is the most outstanding bite of chicken I've ever had. And just when I think it can't possibly get any better, the next bite outdoes it...
