Stopped in for breakfast Sunday morning before heading back to Nashville. The pastry case displayed a beautifully prepared assortment of pastries. Went with the lox on a rosemary bagel, and was pleasantly surprised at the flavors, quality and portion size. The chai tea latte was a great addition. Plenty of street parking. Tables and chairs outside. Menu has something for everyone! Great vibe.

I have been screaming for a bagel spot downtown, for years! So glad to have HIVE in our community - no ESSA, but the bakery makes up for any short comings. Most often the service is stellar, very educational also! Only once has my mood been swayed by the person behind the counter taking breakfast orders… it’s 8am, let’s start the day pleasantly together and appear happy to be at work
Amazing, what Memphis has always needed. The bagels are unbelievable. The pastries are stunning in beauty and delicious.

This place has false advertisement!! They say they sell bagels by the dozen, but when I walked in this Saturday morning, early no less, and tried to buy a dozen and was told no and then I tried a half dozen and told no again. The food and service are horrible, waited in line for 15-20 mins only to be told no, we can't sell you this, but it's clearly on the menu board!!!

My husband and I stopped in for lunch about an hour before closing. We both loved our bagel sandwiches, the portobello was my favorite. The hummus dip is good with their bagel chips and we split a huge seasoned honey drizzled croissant for dessert. Seriously, the croissant could be a meal itself. We both enjoyed a seasonal drink that was offered. My cappuccino contained rose and the floral note was so distinct but not overpowering, didn't come across as artificial flavor.Street parking. No inside tables but there is a narrow bar to sit down inside. Outside there are a few tables and chairs.

That was a stale bagel, very hard. Plenty of cream cheese, good portion of lox. And the pastries, didn't expect much. The croissant tasted good enough, had good color, but my lord is it too big. Croissants are not the size of one's head and to me a big croissant is just a sign to me that adding pastries was an after thought. The kouign-amann was not good. Under baked, doughy.Wouldn't go back to try anything else.

Limited sitting space. I came here hunting for sourdough bread and came out in love.I found the best croissant, which is even better. They take cash and card payments.I watch the bakers make the croissant dough, and I think, "I want to be dough." They fold and mold the paste, and they put the butter on and fold it again. This year, for Halloween, I will dress up as flour, stand by the door, and see if one of the bakers takes me and turns me into a croissant .Great bagels !
The bagels are so fresh it's wild. Perfect crunch with each bite.

Worth the hype!! I have been here twice now and have had great experiences. Great atmosphere, and it’s fun to watch the crew bake their items in front of you! They’re consistent and have good service. Their breakfast bagel sandwich is great! The bagel itself is fresh and soft. I also tried the chocolate croissant and their chocolate chip cookie croissant! Both were great but the chocolate chip was amazing. Potentially the best croissant I’ve had locally. Their coffee is also good! I don’t always like local shops coffee but theirs is good.

First time trying and I will be back! Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. I had the breakfast bagel and a cinnamon swirl. I did go on the weekend and was a little busy both indoors and outdoors because there isn’t a lot of room but they get you in and out pretty fast. I could tell the owner takes a lot of pride in the experience for his customers. I watched as he watched how things were going. That alone spoke volumes to me. I can’t wait to go back to try more bagels and pastries!
