McEwen's is a lovely restaurant with a very warm and inviting atmosphere that offers absolutely fabulous food. The service is excellent, with friendly, knowledgeable, and cheerful staff who make guests feel comfortable and go out of their way to accommodate special requests and dietary concerns. The menu features a variety of tasty dishes, including the best halibut ever, the Friday catfish lunch special, and outstanding Sea Bass and Salmon. Customers appreciate the flexibility in choosing sides without extra charges, and the cornmeal fried catfish is especially popular. The restaurant also serves flavorful salads, such as the goat cheese and peach salad, and offers good cocktails. While the biscuits are a small downside, overall, McEwen's remains a top choice for dinner in the area and is highly recommended, especially before a show at the Orpheum.
