Shogun Japanese Steakhouse offers good food for a good price, with large portion sizes and cheaper prices than Red Koi and Redfish Asian Bistro down the street. A $7 chicken hibachi meal includes miso soup, salad, veggies, and fried rice. The food is great, remarkable, and seasoned well, though sometimes the grill is too high and the food gets burned. The service can be off; drink refills are often a problem, and small parties may have to wait for a table or track down staff. The interior is very lacking, outdated, and has wobbly chairs and old furniture, so do not go for the ambience. However, some visitors had a wonderful dining experience with courteous staff, an excellent chef, and a nice, clean restaurant. It is a family-friendly restaurant where children can feed the fish. The wait time can be excessive, but larger groups get faster service. Overall, Shogun has the best prices and portion sizes for the food.
