“Shogun has been a go to for our family celebrations. Over the past years the food changed and not in a good way. We were surprised to see teppanyaki serve pasta noodles and potatoes? Then we had to pay extra for fried rice. We use to have a choice of white or fried. Our experience here felt like the cook was putting food on our plates that didn't go together on our pallets. Probably the last time here celebrating. So disappointed.“

The teenager loves their Memphis roll. My husband had the hibachi stir fry and claims it is just amazing! And the portion sizes are great!
We've gone a few times so there are more menu items not mentioned. But they all were great, we returned and tried more items. Below pictures is the general tso and the Lo mein.
The other times we have gone we didn't take pics. I wish I had.
But we didn't waste any time eating because it was all so delicious and tempting.

If you happen by this place, GO IN they have a cute little area by the register with items for sale that are adorable ranging from hello kitty and friends to jewelry. Also reasonably priced. It truly is a great place.“

“Yall when I tell yall this was the BOMB!! ( they have a health score of 95) I came here for my first time today and I had originally saw them on a delivery service app and I figured I’d go in person. The lady at the register was so nice and calm and took my order like it was clockwork!
The food was SO good and the price will make you think you are dreaming! I was able to feed about 6 people with 32$ and that includes two plates of rice, one sushi roll, and a pack of egg rolls! The rice was fresh , you could tell they just made it and the seasoning they put on it is so good you don’t really need any soy sauce or duck sauce! The sushi was also very good and it tasted fresh! They put Tokyo grill to shame!! I’ll never go back to them even tho I was a regular! Go get yall some they got something for ya even if you are rich broke or po’ !“

“My sister Victoria only asks for fries and chicken nuggets when we go out, and I am allergic to shellfish and avoid seafood in general. That said, we want to give our positive opinion with our limited ability of fully enjoying this lovely restaurant!

The seating room was very cleanly and cozy, the booths had plenty of room to sit for us bigger folk, haha.
The service was immediate, kind, and helpful. Although I couldn’t find fries and nuggets on the menu, they delivered! Apparently they’re both under the appetizers section. And Victoria thoroughly enjoyed them.

I ordered the green salad, Tokyo Tonkatsu Ramen, and the fried sweet potato roll. The salad was perfectly chilled and the ginger dressing was very flavorful, 10/10. The soup felt homemade, the veggies were definitely al dente. The ramen isn’t really their selling point, but still felt healthy! I give it a 7/10. The roll though, I could 100% tell sushi is their expertise, it was the best fried sweet potato roll of my life, the crisp was everything. 15/10.

Because of that, I ordered a side of their hibachi steak so I could give a complete review (they are Tokyo Grill after all)!

“I love this place. This particular location on Kirby parkway has the best tasting food ( I’ve ate at all the other ones in Memphis even in Desoto county ) this location is still the best tasting. “We have been eating at Saito's ever since their doors opened. It's been through 2 owners and the 2nd owner didn't mess it up by his take on the previous owners menu (if its not broke dont F' with it!)! Two large retail rooms makes this a very spacious and comfortable restaurant, the entry side with a bunch of seating around hibachi grills, the other with booths or tables, and a huge sushi bar.
The staff are young, polite, friendly and attentive. Won't lie, we did have a bad waitress years ago, but her time there was short lived.
The food....what else can I say! It's always good, portions are just right, and the pricing is perfect for a casual dinner for 2! I love the Daily Special, Hibachi Steak & Shrimp, with vegetables, fried rice, soup and salad. My wife loves the Steak Bento box and we usually split a Sushi & Nigiri appetizer.“

“At first, I avoided this restaurant like the plague when I had first ordered a while ago they had my raw sushi sitting out a room temperature and by the time I got there, which I say about 10 minutes away the sushi had turned brown, and I only did it turn brown. It was sitting under a leak in the restaurant. BUT now , I’m under the impression of a new owner and their food quality has doubled ! The sushi no longer tastes like chemicals , the food is fresher and the flavor profile has improved too. I ordered my favorite 3 combo sushi as a last resort because my other place closed earlier but boy was I blown away by the upgrade! The service does need to be a little bit better, the ladies at the desk are a bit snappy but the food is delicious. I am an uncover food reviewer for the Memphis area and my new score on this restaurant is 8/10! ( old score was 2/10)“
