We’ve been multiple times and typically have a great experience. We went this past weekend. Service was a little slower than normal but it’s holiday season. The younger waitress went to help with larger party so the older waitress covered our table for her. Everything was fine until I checked my credit card statement this morning and they tacked on over $57 to our total bill that included tip. They are currently closed so I haven’t heard back from them. I am not sure if it was reflective of the recent death of the owner but the blacked salmon and potatoes were completely cold and inedible. It was not eaten but they only comped 1/2 of the price after we were told it would be removed from the bill. The 2 filets were overcooked. However, my duck breast was perfect and absolutely delicious.
Since our hosts have been here many times and had wonderful experiences, I would definitely give the restaurant another chance. I send condolences...read full review
