After more than 30 years of being a loyal customer, it truly saddens me to write this review.
Jimmy Kelly's Steakhouse has been the place where my wife and I celebrated many special occasions over the years, including several anniversaries. Unfortunately, our visit this past June was so disappointing that we've decided it will be our last.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was off. The welcome at the front door was unfriendly and unprofessional. Our waiter provided service that was simply average at best and lacked the attention to detail we've always associated with Jimmy Kelly's.
The food was even more disappointing. My steak was supposed to be an 8-ounce cut, but it was noticeably smaller. To make matters worse, our lobster was completely forgotten and wasn't brought out until we were ready to leave, so we had to take it home in a to-go box. That's not the kind of dining experience you expect when celebrating a special anniversary.
What was perhaps most surprising was the atmosphere. Jimmy Kelly's was always known for its warm, inviting, and elegant ambiance. This time it felt cold, dull, and lacked the charm that made it such a memorable destination for decades.
I've been told the restaurant was recently sold to a large corporation. Whether that's the reason or not, something has clearly changed, and sadly, not for the better. The quality, service, and overall experience simply aren't what they once were.
This review isn't written out of anger but out of genuine disappointment. It's difficult to watch a restaurant that has meant so much to us over the last three decades lose the qualities that made it special. I sincerely hope management takes these concerns to heart because Jimmy Kelly's was once one of Nashville's finest steakhouses.
I wish the team the very best, but sadly, our anniversary dinner this year marked the end of a 30-year tradition.

This was the best experience I have ever had. The people were as great as the food was. Thank you Jimmy Kellys for the wonderful experience. Only thing I can suggest if you havent been here is split your side dishes with someone or all at your ta le ,because they are huge. Lots of food!!!!! Ask for Carter for your server, he is fantastick!

Jimmy Kelly's is so yummy. The restaurant is so pretty, the food is delicious! The Happy Hour Flight of Martin's is absolutely the best! And, our server Scott was amazing! We can hardly wait to return! Such a great dinner and fabulous atmosphere.

Tonight was our first time at Jimmy Kelly’s for our 16th Anniversary and it was excellent. The hostess wished us a happy anniversary and we were able to be seated before our reservation time. Our server, Jeff, was great! He was knowledgeable, kind and friendly. Our food was 10/10. The steak was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was the perfect balance of dim and cozy, but bright enough to see around you. We will be back to Jimmy Kelly’s again.

Second time coming here. It’s becoming a favorite. The staff is friendly and the food comes out in a timely manner. The food is always good and those complimentary pancakes SLAP!!! Protip: Save 10$ and go with the bootleg. It’s better than the Cowboy.
