Modern Love is a phenomenal restaurant and lounge located at the bottom of The Fairlane hotel in Nashville. It offers an amazing, magnificent vibe with retro decor, a very cool layout, and great music. The atmosphere is all the vibes, making it a perfect brunchy spot or a great dining experience for dinner. The setup can be a little confusing at first upon entering, but guests are quickly guided and seated.
The food is incredible, elite, and out of this world. Every dish is crafted to be the absolute best version of itself with evident quality in every ingredient, all made in house and freshly sourced. Favorites include the Early Bird sandwich, the Braised Beef Cheek Ragout—which is garlic heavy—and the hand-made beef ragu pasta. The salmon dish with a delicious white sauce and potatoes is also cooked to perfection. For sharing, there are excellent small plates like truffle fries, chips and dip, and a kale Caesar. The creative bar menu is great too, with highly recommended house cocktails like a Last Word modified with a house Kaffir Lime tincture.
Service is amazing, sweet, kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. Staff provide a brief history of the restaurant and give excellent recommendations. It is a fantastic gem and a highly recommended place to take a break from the classic Nashville fried food scene, promising a phenomenal experience that will have guests clearing every plate and returning again.
