“Campo azul is the best mexican restuarant in Nolo. Best happy hour, and best overall staff. Caboose is a terrible competitor with only beer specials and not very consistent food. Titos is the other big restuarant, but no happy hour and an overall busier place“

“How refreshing to find an Indian buffet again that is actually delicious. House of India may very well now be the beat Indian Reataurant in the Nashville area. Friendly staff, appropriately flavorful and spicy dishes (even on the buffet). So many buffets I've been to in recent years are overly sweet and bland. Not this place. If you used to go to Bombay Palace more than a decade ago, this is like that. Same owners in fact. So good.“

“I ate here yesterday afternoon with a large group of friends (14). It was fabulous, and so nice to eat at a local, family owned restaurant here in Cool Springs which is mostly limited to chain restaurants. I called ahead of time to make sure they could accommodate us and spoke to Luke and he said he’d set aside seating for us. Luke ended up being our server, and he was very sweet and gracious to our rowdy table! We all mostly ordered different pizzas, although a few got pasta dishes, and I added wings to my pizza order. Most drank beer, a couple ordered wine. The pizzas were all very good! I got the Italian Stallion as my husband loves green olives and it had that as an ingredient along with Italian sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, salami and mushrooms. It was wonderful, the toppings were plentiful and the crust was perfect. Others ordered different specialty pizzas and had no complaints. I also got the traditional wings with a mild buffalo sauce and they were quite yummy. My son got the spaghetti & meatballs and it was a huge plate with 2 giant meatballs! He could only eat half of it so he had leftovers for another meal at home. Another person got the Mozzarella Caprese Salad, and the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. The pasta dishes came with homemade garlic knots. The beer selection is rather limited, if you like craft beers like our crowd does. They are mostly standard beers, so that’s the only recommendation I have, that they up their game on the beers and offer more options from local breweries. They were out of some of the limited ones they carry, but Luke explained they restock beers on Monday (we went on a Sunday so they were at the end of their supply by then). As far as the vibe, it was a perfect low key place to hang out with friends, drink beer and eat pizza etc, and watch football. There were plenty of TVs to watch the games. There were even fun video game machines if you’re into that. We really enjoyed Mineo’s - food, service, and vibe were all tops! It does take a little while to get your food but we understood with our big table, and it was nice anyway to not be rushed out the door (we stayed almost 2 1/2 hours!). So nice to support this local family owned restaurant!“

Food: delicious! Forgot to take pictures of half of the things we ordered, but the table favorites were Burrata, Pesto, Focaccia. Everything we ordered tasted great.

Staff: Was friendly, but one of our guests ordered a fish entree and while they were bringing out everyone’s plates, our server told him to choose something else as they were out of that fish. I think they could have reached out to us earlier. However, they were extremely accommodating to our ever changing guest list and kept adding more tables to accommodate everyone.

Service: they don’t let you split the check more than 6 ways, so if you’re going there in large parties, be ready to Venmo each other.

Parking: plenty of parking spots right outside the establishment.

Vibe: other patrons were pretty quiet and nice. Overall, ambiance was great. Loved the chic decor of the place. The bar area is rather large but no noisy patrons there either.

Overall, very pleased with my experience. Would go again!

“I was in the Nashville location on 1/28 during my visit to the area. It was packed but everything moved quickly, efficiently and the staff was so very friendly to everyone. That didn’t stop just at the start but all throughout our time there. The lady helping us (her name was Isis, I believe) even followed back up with us on something. Her and the manager went above and beyond to take care of us on something we didn’t even ask them to. Btw, nothing happened, they were just out of something, it came back in and they took care of us. A measure most would not do but she found us and made sure to take care. Now THAT is friendly customer service! The food is so amazing, y’all. “Tonight my friends and I had the pleasure of being served by Anna at J. Alexander’s in Franklin, and she was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we sat down at the bar, she greeted us with a friendly smile and made us feel comfortable right away!

Our cocktails were excellent. Each one was perfectly mixed, presented beautifully, and tasted great. Anna was attentive without hovering, checking in at the right times and making sure we had everything we needed. She remembered our drink preferences after just one order and kept our waters filled without us having to ask. She also offered helpful suggestions for cocktails we might enjoy, which we really appreciated.

We come to J. Alexander’s a couple of times a week and have always had good service, but Anna stood out. She is professional, approachable, and clearly takes pride in her work! The atmosphere at the bar felt even more welcoming because of her.

It is not just about the drinks, it is about the overall experience, and Anna made ours great from start to finish. We truly enjoyed having her as our bartender and will definitely be asking for her again on future visits.

It is a small, unpretentious looking place but once she opened the door it was all over but the eating. Kenji, Saundra and the staff were very gracious, helpful and friendly.
