“Delicious fish, slaw, fries, hush puppies, fried shrimp, loaded baked potato soup, and chocolate cheese cake! All tasty, hot, and fresh. Efficient and knowledgeable front counter service and helpful and caring dining room service. Great bar height table seating with comfortable, cushioned chairs excellent for us older folks, easier than getting down and up in a booth. Wonderful Monday Captain D's lunch experience at a much better price than the upscale restaurant next door that was closed.“
“This was our first time to experience Oaklawn . From the moment you exit your vehicle and enter this beautiful, intimate restaurant you have great expectations . Our expectations were surpassed in every aspect. Every server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The cuisine is exceptionally wonderful and thoughtfully prepared ! Of course the owner, Joe , personally greeted us as we were patrons at another fine dining restaurant where he also championed the local dining scene. His attention to every detail resonates throughout Oaklawn . We absolutely loved our dining experience and will return soon .
