Everything on the hot bar was cold and didn't taste right. The cold bar was warm and not fresh. None of the food was "HOT" on the hot bar the way it was supposed to be. Poor selection of seafood and wanted an extra $15 per person if you wanted crab legs which was ridiculous. The meal ran us $141 for 4 people and not worth it. Do not recommend this place to anyone. Dine at your own risk!!!

**Review of Captain Jim's**
I’ve been visiting Captain Jim's for the past few years, but my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. Due to a medical condition that limits my ability to eat—similar to aspects of weight loss surgery but not for weight loss purposes—I have a "legal" card that permits me to receive adjusted pricing for my meals. Essentially, I can only consume food in sizes smaller than an egg, and I was previously informed that I would be charged $14.99 instead of the full $49.99 price.
I had every intention of tipping my server generously, aiming for around 20-25%. However, when I arrived, I was shocked at the state of the food. The baked fish looked like it had been sitting in water all day, and I was really only interested in a single cluster of crab, which is often about 20% of what you'd get at other restaurants. Unfortunately, the crab appeared to be frozen and far from fresh, which is quite disappointing considering the location.
I managed to eat only three boiled shrimp and tried just two crab legs—less than five bites in total! To my disbelief, the waitress insisted I pay the full $50 despite my medical restrictions. I tried to communicate my disappointment, stating that this was not how I had been treated in the past. She promised to consult the manager, but I waited and she never followed through.
The overall quality of the food was horrid, and I couldn't even eat my meal. I was eager to leave and paid the bill quickly, genuinely intending to leave a decent tip. However, the waitress then told another member of my party that I was “short” on the bill. Regardless of the amount, it was inappropriate for her to disclose that information to anyone else—it should have been a private matter between us.
I cannot stress this enough: **DO NOT EAT AT CAPTAIN JIM'S.** The risk of food poisoning seemed imminent, and judging by the state of the food and how poorly I was treated, I would suggest finding a better establishment. It appears they do not value customer feedback or care about their patrons. Please think twice before giving them your money.

It was the worst buffet I've been to! And very expensive
Great buffet with AYCE crab legs. Everything is fresh and clean. We have been coming here for several years and always enjoy it.

This is the most disgusting meal I think I've ever had in an established restaurant, and the fact that I now have to pay $25+ for this slop really ends my evening off with a bang. Save your taste buds and save your wallet. Don't eat here... EVER!!!

Too expensive for crab legs, more than 39 bucks.. Service was good but the food was not great.
It was okay. I was vacationing with my daughters, and we were in the mood for some crab legs. After reading some of the reviews I decided to take a chance. I personally think the prices should come down a bit for the quality of food being offered in the buffet. So it wasn't terrible or fantastic just- mehh 😏

Horrible! No food barely on the buffet and the food that was had no seasoning. I have never made a review but I wanted people to know to stay away 149.95 cents for 2 adults and 1 child and wish I would have not.

Most bland and over-priced food in Pigeon Forge. We went on a slow night. I know it's a seafood place but the smell was borderline unbearable. It's not worth your time considering all of the great and tasty food in the area.
