We were in the restaurant 2 weeks ago because, as a German, I of course wanted to try authentic German food ? And it's not my first time in the USA. The reception and the service were friendly, but our waitress was hardly understood because he spoke so quietly. We had to ask several times - including my American husband. The ambience is quaintly dark. The food was also really good, but it's not authentically German. More American with German highlights, such as red or sauerkraut as a side dish or on the burger, delicious potato salad in a version with mustard. My roast was also super tender and delicious, as was the schnitzel - beautifully flattened and in a crispy breading. So I definitely recommend eating there, but it's more Americanized German cuisine. As is the case the other way around in many restaurants in Germany.

Four of us went here for dinner on a Monday at 6pm. We appeared to be the only patrons in the tavern. Bryce, our server, was very attentive. We came because their sign boasted "Authentic German Restaurant" but it was NOT authentic. The potato pancakes, salad, and red cabbage were very good. The Traditional Shnitzel and the German Potato Salad was nothing resembling the German dishes. Actually, Aldi's frozen German Schnitzels taste better. My husband lived in Germany for many years and was very disappointed. Our relatives had the Schnitzel Parmigian. One liked it, the other said it tasted like an Italian meal. They ordered Iced Teas which cost $5 each. He had a hard time with that price. Overall, our experience was just okay. We would not return.Oh, they are cashless so if you're prone to pay with cash, be sure to have a credit card on hand when dining here.

The food was absolutely superb as it was also the last visit. The service for us on this visit left some to be desired. We were kind of made to feel as an after thought at times. We did receive service but only in quick spurts... And not very often. For $105 for a party of 4 with no appetizers, alcoholic beverages, or desserts that is quite off putting. We love the food but would've left a better tip had the service matched?

ABSOLITE worst place EVER. The owner must be stupid and not knowing what Leberkäse is ?? You don't advertise Leberkäse and serve Bologne, and when asked, "no, it's not real Leberkäse" you just admitted to false and wrong advertisement. Service and food was absolutely disgusting and horrible. As a result of that, NO tip. But that wasn't even the worst part. As we left the Restaurant, a very verbally aggressive, flamboyant and rude employee followed my fiance and daughter outside as I was using the restroom and confronted them as to, "why didn't the server receive a tip."Very unprofessional move and do NOT ever approach someone's family like this again. ? I don't care who you are but anywhere else, that move wouldn't have been very wise. This is not the last thing you heard about this. Very disappointing ? and sad the owner asks his staff to "hubt down" guests who don't tip.

The establishment is a little small and easy to miss, so pay close attention when driving. Food is very good with large portions. I would highly recommend this place I'd you're looking for something different than the same song and dance in Pigeon Forge. My only hesitation is the price. I'm not saying the food isn't worth the price, but if you're not ready to spend $80+ for two people this might not be the restaurant for you.

Waited 5 minutes to be seated. looked like only one waitress in the entire restaurant, however, she was nice and apologetic.food was terrible. schnitzel looked and tasted like a pancake.Drinks were $5 each and were flat.my fiancé ordered the pork shank, which he seemed to love. the meat fell right off the bone, and the vegetables were great.would not go again.

The German food is so good. We have been to Germany many times, and it is very comparable. Our waiter was wonderful, and so was the host at the door. One thing I would suggest is more variety of German bier. That's why we're here..lol.Parking: It is at a hotel so plenty of parkingAlso, outdoor seating too ! Loved it

Great food, but a tad expensive. I wonder where they get their sausages from: they are delicious.Parking: The restaurant parking lot is located on a rather steep hill.

The advertisement says authentic German food. No way... The beef stew taste like it was poured out of a can. Cubed tuff meat with what appears to be canned veggies. No way it was homemade or slow cooked on day we ate lunch. My wife is German and I've ate at many German resturants. On a scale of 1 to 5, I give this place 1 star for food and atomsphere. We sat there listening to Mexican bar tender rattle off in his native language. Most German resturants have a better selection of food and deserts which i didnt see the quality i expect from German food. The beer selection was lacking as well.I don't recommend.

Breakfast here is clearly underrated as the “pancake houses” nearby were packed but meanwhile this place has the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten! AND they were all you can eat & apple strudel style. There was also a scramble, some schnitzel breakfast sandwiches & biscuits & gravy at our table, which were all delicious.
