“I ordered takeout from here yesterday for dinner and got an extra meal for lunch today. The roast beef was so tender and delicious! The mashed potatoes with gravy were some of the best mashed potatoes I've had from a restaurant. The cornbread is flat pancake style, so good. My only complaint about my meat and three was that I ordered turnip greens and got green beans instead. They were still delicious, but I really wanted the turnip greens. Lol my leftover spaghetti today was good. My friend said his catfish was really good as well.I needed comfort food for a hard day, and this place did not disappoint. Reminded me of my grandmother's and mother's southern cooking, which was just what I needed. Portions and prices are fair, too. Highly recommend this little gem!“

“We like to try local places when in new places. The Stubborn Mule is a very good, traditional breakfast cafe. The place was packed with what appeared to be regulars (always a good sign). The server staff offered good recommendations for eats. The food was very good. Worth a try.“

“My wife and I ate a early dinner on Saturday afternoon around. 4:30. They were not very busy and we got a great table in the back over looking the river. We eat here often and are never disappointed with the food and service. Our server was Daniel,he was very pleasant and professional. Great location and atmosphere,would highly recommend Betty's.“

Our server Savannah was taking care of the entire dining room as the owner Lyle was busing tables and talking to his customers! The food was amazing But getting to meet the two of them.
