First, set your expectations. This is a local bar where you can hangout with friendly folks and pay reasonable prices. It's a smoking bar with pool and darts and reminiscent of lower Broadway circa the 1990s.Next, enjoy yourself and have a great conversation with the incredibly friendly people, or just play pool for free and watch football on a Sunday afternoon.Kid-friendliness: Nope.
I have not had the pleasure of visiting Backroads, as yet. However, after reading the owner's response to Victor's review, I will be going by to say hello. What a perfectly sincere and true example of Southern hospitality to meet with negativity. We are gentle people (unless you mess with our babies or elderly). Blessings to you, sir.
