“Stopped in at Steamers Subs for the first time. Highly recommended by a friend who told me she goes there several times a week. Told me Steamers makes great sandwiches. So I had to check it out for myself while driving through Sweetwater. Yes! A great sandwich shop located downtown. A cubbyhole size restaurant but don't let the small size fool you. I ordered a delicious large sub which was so filled with ingredients I decided to eat the other half for dinner that evening. Wheelchair accessible with parking on the street in front and around the block corners. My lady friend and I were warmly greeted by both employees when we walked in. The cook who took our orders also brought our sandwiches to our table for us. Atmosphere was cozy and friendly. Good selection of subs to choose from and made to order custom. Great service, value and atmosphere which is probably fair to say rivals all the popular franchise sandwich restaurants. I recommend.“

“I knew when I walked in and immediately heard Led Zeppelin that this would be an amazing restaurant, not only was I correct on this but the place exceeded my expectations, the waitress was funny and very kind, gave us more napkins without us even asking and refilled our drinks, this wonderful employee was Judy, the place allowed you to sit wherever you wanted which I loved because I dislike being seated near people and feeling like they are listening to me. The food was very amazing, the best pancakes I have had. I recommend this place greatly“

“It was absolutely delicious! Everything I tried the fried chicken, the fish, the fried green tomatoes, it was all outstanding. It’s very clean and a very pleasing environment. The employees are very friendly. I highly highly recommend this. I drove 45 miles from Seymour to go there to eat and I will do it many more times in the future. ON a final note, the chicken and dumplings tasted just like my grandmas!“

“12/19/25: Server Fenisha (sp) 5:45 pm. I have been by this location going to the post office so many times and just plain missed it. It next to but under the bridge level along the river bank. Across from the Fire Department. Very inviting look to it as you approach. We parked under the bridge curbside, and felt safe in the area. Walked maybe 100 feet. Entered technically from the back into the bar area. Very warm friendly folks, not loud, big vintage chairs at the table we sat at looking out the massive beautiful windows. The restrooms are through the other side of the dinning room which is not far away, lots of history on the way back to look at. The tables in the dinning room were so intimate and quaint, the gas fireplace was on and it was perfect. We will be back to sit in that room, we just didnt want to jump ship on our server that night. The menu which is on their sites is very inviting, and price pointed far better then most. The taste was on point and the helping sizes were fairly large. It was a much-needed night out to go hide from our lives for a couple hours. We enjoyed it and we will be back, probably together, and bringing friends on occasion. I love the history of the longest running family business in the town, and the town itself. Another Tennessee gem, I give it 4.5 stars only gripe I had was they were out of shrimp and the pineapple cake. LOL Thank you team, we will update this as we visit in the future.“

“we got the brisket. because it says that it is slow cooked for 23 hours. well if it was why was it tuff to chew up and hard to eat. 23 hours the brisket should have been very tender almost falling apart. I don't recommend the brisket at Michael's at all unless you like tuff chewy meat. I do not recommend. Michael's“

“So this was our 2nd visit. The 1st time we kind of stumbled onto this place and are glad we did! We were seated quickly, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They have a great collection of craft beers. Looking at thee menu I had a hardtime deciding for a flight it was! Surprisingly, my husband and son both couldn't choose one from their samples and also did flights! Too many to choose from. This was the 1st time we have eaten here and the food was just amazing! Not to mention the portion sizes are pretty big for the price. It was so hard to stop eating the irish nachos while I waited for my sliders. Never had sliders like this but have quickly become a fan! The fries, while there was no special seasoning to them, were probably some of the most perfectly cooked fries I have ever had. We did not have one bad thing between us and will definitely be going back. Oh, did I forget to mention, they are located in an old train depot next to the tracks...how cool is that! Highly recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed.“

“Stopped in for a quick meal on our way through town. Walking through the front door, we were greeted with hellos, laughter, smiling, and an overall happy vibe. We seated ourselves in a booth along the grill. We were promptly served our coffee. The waitress was a happy soul. You could tell the staff got along great. The local customers were chatting it up with one another. Wow, if all businesses had this down home feel... wouldn't the world be a better place. The food was on point. The restrooms were clean. What more could you ask for? Stop in, and don't forget to give them a good review, this waffle house is the best in America!
Kid-friendliness: Perfectly kid friendly“

“The crabs were over cooked and the oil needs to be changed
UPDATED: ordered fish, chicken amd lobster rolls. The fish seems to be better quality than before. The oil was clean amd the food was perfect cooked. The chicken tenders are now hand breaded and nice portions. Some of the best tenders in town actually! The lobster rolls were minced but flavored okay. The fried okra was surprisingly great. Overall this restaurant has improved drastically.“
