“We’ve wanted to try Tacos El Patron for a while but just hadn’t gotten around to it. We finally went at the beginning of this month and we’ve already been back three times since!
Every single visit has blown us away. The food is incredibly consistent, and the flavors are amazing. We moved to Tennessee from Arizona and honestly did not expect to find authentic Mexican food here…but we absolutely did.
On this last visit I arrived early to pick up our order, and the lady who helped me (I believe she’s one of the owners) took the time to share about the restaurant and where they came from. She was so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
This is officially our go-to Mexican spot. I’m fully convinced that anyone who gives this place less than 5 stars doesn’t know what good food is.“

“Went there today with my brother. I’m from St. Louis. Sally was our server. She is absolutely amazing! She had a 12-15 top plus other tables. And never missed a beat. If you go here, ask for Sally you won’t regret it. I personally recommend the chorizo queso. And if you like spicy, the ooey gooey is for you.“

Olga, one of the owners, is… let’s just say “spirited.” She called me two hours before the event asking what day and where it was happening—despite the fact that I had given her that info months ago, and again four days before. But the food? Oh, the food. Worth every frantic phone call and spike in cortisol. The carnitas tacos were life-changing. I would almost go through it all again just to have another bite.

“I've been on the hunt for the best street tacos in town, and I think I've finally found them. This little taco stand is tucked away in a corner of the city, but it's definitely worth seeking out. The carne asada tacos are my absolute favorite. The meat is perfectly grilled and seasoned, and the tortillas are warm and soft. The birria tacos are also amazing. The meat is so tender and flavorful, and the broth is rich and delicious. But what really sets these tacos apart is the attention to detail.
