“The Thirsty Turtle Beer Garden on the TN line at 294/123 is phenomenal. Tuesday nights are tacos, our selections were pulled chicken tinga or carnitas pork, freshly made on flour tortillas with chips and house made Pico de Gallo. They have a small selection of great sandwiches all served with house made potato salad or chips from Wed - Sat. Captain beef heart is delicious. Sunday is pizza…in a brick oven and makes fresh pies on house-made dough. All this at a roadside beer bar with pool tables and dart boards, a nice pavilion on the creek, Cornhole on the deck and [toy] turtle races in the creek on Fridays. Make it a point to go out of your way to pay it a visit.””

“Make sure you visit this GREAT coffee shop! I will go out of my way to stop by here for one of their iced vanilla lattes- they make the best ever. 😍 Also love their logo- just bought one of their shirts and actually wearing it right now. 😂 Anyway, highly recommend this sweet little coffee shop. The staff is wonderful too! I looove sampling local coffee shops anywhere I go and Yellow Bird is definitely my favorite this side of the Mississippi! (Quite literally. ❤️)”

“My wife and I were in Blue Ridge for a weekend trip and decided to try this restaurant for lunch. SO glad we did! I got a Cuban sandwich and my wife had the steak sandwich. Both were amazing! We came back later in the day and picked a rum cake and a piece of tres leches cake to take back to our cabin. Both were incredible! This was our favorite restaurant on our trip and we will definitely be back!”

“We ordered take out for our first visit this evening. Husband ordered the Habanero Combo Special, while I had the Beef Chimichanga Dinner. Everything was FANTASTIC. Ready on time, priced right, quality and quantity over the top. Since we're new to the area, we'll now be regular customers. We have enough leftovers for a quasi Huevos Rancheros for Breakfast. Kudos!!!!! Great job!”

I've been around the country never had a waitress like her! on top of it all. if you ever come to the riverwalk in mccaysville ask for her! you will be so happy with the help and the joy she brings to the table! some who works like she is getting paid 200.00 an hour! I'm telling you don't believe me come check her out!”

“They don't serve food but it's a true local dive. Karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights and 1 pool table plus 1 dart board for recreation. Smoking allowed inside so don't plan on leaving without smelling like an ash tray, but hey, isn't that what makes it so great?! 😃 You won't regret stopping in for a cold one and enjoying the friendly local atmosphere.”

“Came here from multiple recommendations from people in Ellijay that this was the place for the best burger. It was. It was even said better than River Street Tavern!! My pizza was perfect!!!!”

“We came in on a Monday afternoon and ordered. Our server was Rylie and she was wonderful. Got our drinks and about 5 minutes later here comes the food. And it was great!!! We have eaten here several times and iit is always a go to place when we are up here.”

“We stopped into this Subway while on a 2 hour layover while between trips from and back to Blue Ridge GA on the Blue Riudge Scenic Railroad. Our prime reason my wife and I chose Subway instead of the many more interesting places to eat was the ease of getting in and out quickly so when could see more stuff in this touristy town.

I had the Honey Mustard barbecue Sandwich and my wife had the Titan Turkey Sandwich and both had a bag of chips with our meal. My wife had a bottle of water with her meal because she couldn’t order a Diet Coke. I also had water because, even though they had Pepsi products, they didn’t have Diet Mountain Dew. The sandwiches were pretty good and the best thing was that we wee served immediately after walking into the store.”

“I really like the tacos and beer! The food is great and reminds me of southern Mexico and Guatemala. I often eat here in the evening after a long day on the river working. Also a great place for some beers, company, and Spanish practice Friday evenings. I almost forgot to mention they have the only handmade corn tortillas in town as well as the best homemade salsas.”
