Holt's Diner is a fun, local spot with an old-time atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of options, including meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy, excellent hamburgers, fried chicken, and daily specials. The selection is extensive, wider than what one might expect from a typical diner, and the food is great. Guests can also enjoy fried catfish and a special salad with jalapenos sauce. Don't forget to try their hand-dipped ice cream and shakes, or Sundrop fountain soda with crinkle fries. This wheelchair-friendly diner operates smoothly, features a kid-friendly menu, and provides a military discount. The interior is reminiscent of the 50s, with perfect music for conversations at the table. Expect a busy atmosphere, especially at lunchtime on weekdays, but the personable staff and first-rate service, like that of the friendly waitress, Mary, make the experience enjoyable. Parking is easy around the diner, and many visitors express a desire to return.
