I was in Dallas on business. Need to grab a bite and craved wings. This place had excellent reviews. Baby, they didnt disappoint. Clean and smelled clean. Greet as soon as I walked in with a beautiful smile. Now the food: it came out fresh, hot and delicious!!!! But the biggest plus in my experience is the staff continue to check on me. Phenomenal Place.
First time here , and the food was soooo good . I never had food fried in duck fat but man I tell you I’m coming back again and again ,!!!! 10/10 bring the family and friends !!!! Check em out !
Food was fresh, hot, and amazing. We had wings, sandwich, red beans and pudding! We will be back. And Corey is a great host

Roots Chicken Shak is a restaurant in Dallas that has excellent reviews. The place is clean and smells clean, and guests are greeted as soon as they walk in with a beautiful smile. The food comes out fresh, hot and delicious. The staff continue to check on guests, and the customer service is excellent. First-timers who never had food fried in duck fat say the food was soooo good and they are coming back again and again. The chicken tenders are some of the best, and guests love that they fry in duck fat because you can really taste the difference. The food is exceptional, and the owners are amazing, really interested in providing a quality experience and great food. The fries are a favorite. The staff is wonderful and very attentive. Guests recommend bringing family and friends, and suggest getting a biscuit and some banana pudding. A group got a Spicy Bird, Catfish Sandwich, Catfish Filet, Wings, Tenders, Collard greens, red beans & rice. Everything was good except for the Greens, which were so salty nobody would eat more than a forkful to try. The sandwiches were surprisingly good. For sauces, the catfish tartar sauce was the best, heavy on the dill. The honey mustard and barbecue sauces were okay. All total, just under $80 and 4 of us couldn't finish it all, which felt like good value in today's economy, considering how expensive other fried chicken places have gotten. Good food, definitely add it to the lunch rotation.
