“This was our first time trying this place out. We stopped on a whim with 12 in tow. The food was great and the service was excellent. Our family had club sandwiches, fried chicken salad, cajun pasta, burgers, wings, and porkchops... Everything was great. Our family tried all the desserts and you can't go wrong with any of them, they were all delicious 😋! We will definitely be back!“

“We were in from out of town and this place was recommended. Best red beans & rice I have had outside of New Orleans and that bread pudding was amazing.

They have live music in the evening and our timing was horrible so the food took a while to get to us but that is completely on us.

I would definitely go back the next time I'm in the area, but will go for lunch.“

Despite the Tide in Texas group deciding they would no longer "host" parties, Alabama fans are still welcome to come! “We went on a really busy night. The food was okay. The menu has lots of variety. We ordered the nightly special. The cocktails are top-notch. It just took a really long time to get anything. One hour for our appetizers. By the time the food got there we had been there almost 2 hours.“

“About maybe 13-15 years ago I came here from England after seeing a friend in Dallas. Some dude walked in with a guitar, got on stage, asked if there were any musicians in the audience and eventually put together 4-5 other people who, after speaking for perhaps 10 minutes, played the most incredible, Pink Floyd / Blues music I’d ever heard. I was blown away. As the guy left later that night, I asked what his name was and he said “Buck.” And he signed me a Dollar that said “thanks for coming to listen to Texas Blues” and I’ve only just found that Dollar, that’s why I’m writing this review now. But I never forgot that night. I asked how it was possible that strangers could play the best blues music after just a few minutes of talking and he said “we just agreed to play in the key of C”. As a non musician, that stuck with me. Now I play guitar and it’s all thanks to Buck. So, wherever you are, buddy. You’re remembered fondly by an English dude who met you over a decade ago.“

“This is one of my go-to places in the area. The main reason I always return - ORLANDO. He is one of the OG staff that makes me want to go back. Not sure what you want to drink that night? Ask Orlando. Long day and need to smile? Ask Orlando. Starving and everything looks good? Ask Orlando. Yes, the food is good Yes, the drinks are good (my fave is the Purple Duck). But - secretly - why do my friends and I go? To hang with Orlando! 🥰“

“We got a new waitress this time. She is polite and everything, but doesn't know the menu very well and double charged us for a glass of wine. We were disappointed at first, then our usual waiter came along. He made the difference: bring us the usual dish, taking care of our requests quickly... We still love this place!“

“Take out. Fried catfish very tasty as were the fries although the seasoning isn't my favorite. The salad was the downer. It is a great size, but the greens were old they even smelled old when I opened the container. Don't know how they didn't know that while handling the greens. Maybe they make them ahead of time and this one has been around too long.“

“When we went we were the only ones dining there so we didn't have to wait for a table. Our food server Rogelio was very professional and courteous. Food prices were very reasonable and they have a pretty good variety of items on their menu. I just had a basic hamburger and it was well prepared and very tasty. My dinner companion had the grilled salmon with steam vegetables and mashed potatoes, and she liked it as well. Overall it's a nice little restaurant in the lobby of the hotel.“

“This place is in our neighborhood and we have been thinking of coming for a while. Finally made time to stop in and I don’t know why we waited so long to try it!
It was nice and cozy for a Thursday afternoon. No wait and were immediately helped. Food came out so quickly and the portion sizes were grand, which is great because the food definitely hit the spot! We filled up and left feeling well cared for.“
