“Solid concept, small location, and no crowds! Went for lunch on the 9 for $9 deal. Food received was excellent. Smoked wings were incredibly tasty, slightly spicy, and so juicy. Chips were over seasoned which was nice at first but quickly got too salty to enjoy. Great portion for lunch!Downside was there was hardly anyone working. Person who took orders at Crave had to also come take orders at Local Smoke, she was so sweet, apologetic for the wait, and gave excellent service but one person can’t manage 2 separate “restaurant” faces. Not to mention I also saw her cleaning when I was leaving. She shouldn’t be doing the work of 3 people, that’s just crazy to me. I will say there was NO ONE there when I left lunch so I get the need to have minimal employees but left a bad impression on the service that’s provided as a whole by The Hub.Also the big screen outside needs to be playing a sporting event or something besides the silent funny short video clips. Inside was playing anything worth watching but I wanted to sit outside and enjoy to space and the big screen was disappointing.I’ll definitely be back to enjoy more of that Tuesday lunch special menu.“
“We hosted an afterparty here in September and it was an amazing experience! The drinks were strong, the food came out quickly, and the servers/bartenders were so considerate the entire time. There was something for everyone (those who wanted to listen to music and mingle, those who wanted to play cornhole outside, and great music for those who wanted to dance). We would definitely recommend this location!“
“First post of the year! Happy New Year all! Came here actually for NYE (even though I have been here many, many times). Since we cannot review each restaurant individually, I will give a brief summary for each of the places that I have been to first. That way, I do not waste y'all time :) Amore Pizza - Few times before?? 4 Stars. This last time? 2 Stars. Verdict? Since I come here often, I will try this place one more time. Crave - Each time has been consistent. 3.5 Stars. Local Smoke - 4 Stars. Republic/Spoke - 4 Stars. Ambiance - 5/5 - The HUB is like a mini version of Grandscape. There is a turf area, and restaurants surrounding. There is a large screen for sports games, or a stage for music. There are cocktail bars both on the bottom and higher floor levels. Staff - 5/5 - Everyone is friendly. No issues here. Food - What I have ordered from each: Amore - 2/5 - Supreme Pizza (last visit) - It was not good at all. I remember the previous visits, it was so much better, but for $30???? I definitely was not happy. I am HOPING that because it was NYE and it was packed that night.....maybe that is the reason why...but I still doubt it will be worth $30. They get one more chance from me (and we go there ALOT). Crave - 3/5 - Ordered their sliders at $5 a pop. It's good, not great. You can dress them up, but it'll cost ya. Local Smoke - 4/5 - Ordered the following: Belly Bits - $12 - 4/5 - Pork Belly Bites. I recommend. Smoked Fried Wings - $13 - 3.5/5 - Not bad, but a couple of them the skin was a little overcooked/burnt. Great flavor though. Brisket Sandwich - $15 - 3.5/5 - Pretty good sandwich, but I don't think it's worth $15. Republic/Spoke - Varies - 4/5 - Drinks. Priced like everyone else. Overall, the food is not bad, but I usually go there to drink and enjoy outdoor time with my family. I will contemplate giving Amore Pizza one more try, but I could use that $30 elsewhere (especially if the taste is the same). Will I be back? Because of the atmosphere and the fact that I can bring my pup, I will be back for sure.“
“First time in...historically a bdubs guy...first- a nice looking sports bar type of atmosphere with plenty of screens. Second- super friendly host and server. Just the best. Then- those dang wings (a tad pricey I think) but THOSE WINGS were phenomenal. Large- juicy - crispy and sauced to perfection. WELL DONE!“
“I love TopGolf and the servers are so nice at this location in particular. Food is great too. Esp love the spicy chicken sandwich. but dude here who's name tag said Daniel needs to get off his high horse. He takes his job way too seriously, especially for someone who's just a manager at a top golf ?? dude really needs to lighten up- acts like he's over here running a deadly space mission or something ?“
“Good resto cum sports bar for people to chill out. Super cold beer and awesome food. Calorie conscious people do check out for the calories:) but otherwise food is tasty. We had vegetarian options customized by super friendly waitress Caitlyn. Thanks to her for her coolness and up-selling extra beers ;)“
“Our server Chloé was terrific. We visited in order to watch the Final Four games. Chloé made sure we had a great view of the biggest screen. I had an espresso martini. It wasn't that good. The espresso flavor was weak. I also had the queso dip and that was okay. For dinner my boyfriend got a burger and fries. The fries had some strange seasoning that hadn't been mentioned on the menu. Needless to say they went uneaten. I had a grilled chicken caesar salad. The chicken was good but the caesar dressing was very thin and not very flavorful. Our server offered to exchange the salad for something else but I decided to just let it go. We were allowed to linger without pressured to order more stuff during the game. Chloé made sure our drinks were always topped off. She really was what made the visit comfortable. We will go back to Twin Peaks. I do recommend this location.Parking: There are several handicap spaces available.“
“Really good food. Definitely a sports bar, plenty of TVs and a pool table. We had fried mushrooms, fried mushrooms tossed in the spicy ranch seasoning, wings, and salads. The mushrooms were actually whole sized, good mushrooms, not mushroom pieces like other places. The spicy ranch isn’t that spicy and doesn’t taste like ranch necessarily, but is really good! Great flavor. The wings were actual wings, not tiny like some other places, and seasoned well. The lemon pepper was a little salty, but still really tasty. Caesar and house salads were good.Parking: Small amount of spots in front of restaurant building, and a lot to the side/back.“
“Sunday night 9pmish still had a good amount of people out on dates, eating with family, and more. Chill indoor outdoor place, upbeat funky jams, lively outdoor terrace space. Great for pups, and small to larger groups. $5-$7 for 16oz Cold Draft Beer!!The outdoor place is fun with different leveled areas. Love love the design of the outdoor space! The many aged trees within the patio space really makes the outdoor vibe. Theres lots of heat lamps around, and shade from either umbrellas or trees.Beer cups are plastic. Must mean this place can get pretty crowded and rowdy? Fun place. It is less about a mile/22min stroll from Hutchin's BBQ. We ate bbq, and strolled off our food to Historic Downtown McKinney...full of a variety of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Almost everything was closed on a Sunday 9pmish though. They seem to have weekly events too like Tuesday Bingo Music night.“
“Visited on a whim with friends, we WERE NOT disappointed. The layout of the place is confined, and not the best. But that didn't matter with the pizzas we ate. I and 4 other friends enjoyed pepperoni, alfredo, and New Yorker pizzas. We had the meatballs and croissant mozzarella sticks. Alright... so the pizza... it's no joke. It's some of the best I've had in a while. The server (possibly owner?) Described the 48-hour double rising process for their dough. You could taste the quality. Aromatic, crispy, and airy, in just the right way. The sauce that was used was perfect in composition ingredients wise. The alfredo sauce was some of the highest quality I've encountered. It tasted like it was made only a few hours ago. I had a delicious imported sparkling lemonade drink. Overall, it was a slamming dinner. we WILL return. Our rambunctious group was handled with patience and understanding. I am pleased!“
