Wendy's in Allen

“Unexpected Wendy’s review:

I walked in overwhelmed and just needing food. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Ranch Wrap and was honestly surprised — full 10/10 (after some necessary tortilla reconstruction surgery by a former Taco Bell employee 😄). 49 years ago.

Pros:✔ Excellent wrap — full of food and delicious✔ Friendly staff who noticed and checked on me✔ Clean dining area with a nice rainy window view✔ Hidden cookie under napkin = unexpected morale booster

Only notes:The bathroom sink was out of service and I had to improvise handwashing measures. Also, I’m still investigating the Cherry Coke “Float” because I found no evidence of anything actually floating besides ice.

Overall: Wendy’s redeemed itself in my eyes.“

“I want to take a moment to recognize Ricky, the General Manager at Wendy’s, because people like him deserve to be acknowledged.

We were in the drive-thru, and the checkout attendant was busy, so rather than have us sit there and wait, Ricky immediately stepped in to help. He was attentive, incredibly kind, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.

What stood out to me even more was how he interacted with my kids. My youngest was hoping to get a different toy, and Ricky went out of his way to help make that happen. He spoke to my children with such kindness, patience, and respect, and you could tell it wasn’t just customer service—it was genuine thoughtfulness. He completely made my son’s day.

You don’t see enough people who are this well-spoken, respectful, personable, and willing to step in and help anymore, especially in a fast-food environment. Ricky could have easily let us wait for the attendant, but instead he saw that we were waiting, took initiative, and personally made sure we were taken care of.

That kind of service says so much about someone’s character and leadership. He was professional without being robotic, friendly without being forced, and incredibly thoughtful toward my children. Those little moments make a much bigger impression than people realize.

Ricky is exactly the kind of person who makes customers want to come back. Wendy’s is lucky to have him, and I hope his leadership knows what a wonderful representation of the company he is.
