I love this place! Their baked potatoes are so delicious! And today I ordered the Shack salad and it was so good made with fresh crisp veggies. The burgers are great too! And my phone order is always taken by the nicest lady and our orders have always been made exactly how we asked.

It's quintessential Texas drive through on the outskirts of Alpine either as you're coming from Fort Davis or leaving Alpine. It is very tasty and unique. Don't bother asking the owner for suggestions. She says it's up to you on what toppings to include. I was expecting traditional tater tots, but it's more like a smashed baked potato. The food here is good - inexpensive with a lot of options. It looks like the kind of place you could grab a quick bite to eat - but there is nothing quick about this place. Settle in for a 30 minute to one hour wait depending on how many other orders they might have ahead of yours. Rounding up what might have been a 3.5 star review because Alpine operates on its own time and the couple running the place were sweet.
