“Me and my wife are from out of town we were looking for just a small place to have a few drinks and kick back and release them stress we were told about this place so we went and checked it out the bartender's name was Renee she was very friendly very awesome and worked very hard I'm so glad we went there we will make it a frequent stop when we come through Amarillo“

“Paramount Recreation Club delivers on great service, excellent cocktails, and a stylish ambience that makes for a memorable night out. The staff is attentive, and the drinks are crafted with real care, making it an easy place to enjoy a few rounds and conversations.
That said, the crowd can sometimes be a mix, with a few know-it-all socialites that can dampen the otherwise fantastic vibe. It’s not enough to take away from the quality of the venue itself, but something to be mindful of.

The two best bartenders I've ever seen, and not that I need meetings, but I DRINK. The patrons stay happy, which makes the place my favorite bar in Amarillo. Anywhere you get that many happy people gathered, good things are bound to happen.“

“2nd trip here on a spur of the moment road trip and my wife had never been here. My first visit was several years ago and I was very underwhelmed by the quality of the food so I was a bit unsure of what to expect. This trip was completely opposite. Steaks were cooked to perfection and service was phenomenal. Would definitely dine here again in the future based on my most recent visit.“

“This place is very cool! The bar tender was really nice and we had cocktails for 2.50 before 7. We had a chance to talk to the owners and they were welcoming and friendly. If you have a chance to go to this place, don’t miss it. It doesn’t seem like a typical “tourist attraction”.“

“It is a little weird to be in a smoking bar. Honestly that's a plus though even though I don't smoke myself. The happy hour price on bottles is great. It's the unfortunate experience of having to discuss my order with the bartender that earns the three stars.(I actually bumped this up a star. But it wouldn't have hurt for the bartender to have have begun the conversation a bit more upbeat.)“

“When in Texas we crave authentic Texas BBQ; Shi Lee’s BBQ and Soul Food Amarillo Texas was exactly what we wanted. No frills roll up my sleeves moist ribs with a thin crisp bark. Oh so good my mouth waters as I type. Take out only was available from a run down shack with smokers in the back, we could smell the delightful aroma of smoked meat as we pulled up. Please see my pictures. Our meals came with two freshly made sides. Next time I will ask for my side salad to be placed in a separate to go plate to keep it cool and crisp. I loved their perfectly prepared collard greens and fried orca. This was a satisfying take out BBQ meal.“

“It's kinda a dive bar and tends to have a more mature crowd. I always have a good time no mater what im in the mood for, wether that be pool, darts, foosball, or just to belly up to the bar and just bs. Great drink prices and friendly staff.“
“Coconutz is an excellent example of a good hone town bar! This place is a locals favorite. The owner Barrett is a very friendly person and is often there. He is a local artist as well. Coconutz is a place that is inviting and makes everyone feel welcome. The jukebox is always playing. You can play a game of washers or sit out on the patio and enjoy the weather. This is a great place to relax, chill and connect with your friends.“
“Man...I've been in some dive bars and this one is ok...I guess. Guy serving was very nice, but music being played was just odd, trash not emptied...looked extremely lazy operation even for a dive bar. But cheap drinks made up for the other stuff...so it's fine“

“Update - The owner, Cody, called back and we had a great discussion about what happened. I appreciate Cody taking ownership of the problem and offering a solution. I've updated my overall review to 5 stars. The food is always great and ownership takes pride in his restaurant. With most businesses anymore, the problem will always be low level customer service or lack of communication.“

“Last night we decided to go to the Hoffbrau Steak and Grill House for dinner. If you are ever in Amarillo, don't go here expecting German type food. But please try it anyway for some awesome American-Texan food. I had the Smoked Sirloin with corn on the cob and Tonya had the Shrimp and Grits. Both meals were great and the service was very good also. Tonya also a Pretty in Pink drink (which was a little too tart for my taste, but she really liked it) All in all, I would rate this place a 10 out of 10!“

“My wife and I had the Prime Rib special, Mine was medium rare and hers was medium. Both were very tender and tasty. She liked the horseradish sauce, I preferred the au jus. Her vegetables were beside her cut and were crisp, mine turned out to be under my cut and were a bit mushy. Our service was excellent. For desert she had the raspberry Creme Brule, and I had the bread pudding. The serving size of the bread pudding was almost the size of a meal in itself and it was excellent. She said her Creme Brule was very good (but she wouldn't share). We ate in the standard seating downstairs, which was quiet, a little dark, but each table had a lamp with adjustable lighting.“

“It's got really cool, zombie themed decorations. Great atmosphere. Quality liquor selection. They have pool tables inside and a really great back patio with a small stage. The service and food were great. Would love to visit again in the evening.“

“This was an amazing experience, we showed up 20 minutes till close and the amazing man Zack at the bar did not hesitate to help us, and on top of that he made me the most amazing drink and what’s even better he’s keeping his best friend alive by telling his story and bartending in his memory! Truly amazing guy and I will be coming back solely because of this man.“

“Me and my partner took a day trip to Amarillo. Stopped here and ordered the platter(forgot the actual name but had the wantons, spring roll, and egg rolls). We also ordered the Hot n Sour Patel styled and the wanton soup (recommend putting the chili oil in it for an extra kick ;) ). Placed an order of stir fry with shrimp and an order of the chicken fried rice Patel styled. Everything was DELICIOUS! Wish I took pictures but definitely need to make a trip back out soon! Food was hot and loved customizing to our spice preferences AND we had a great server- wish I got her name but she was a nice blonde lady!“
