“Me and my wife are from out of town we were looking for just a small place to have a few drinks and kick back and release them stress we were told about this place so we went and checked it out the bartender's name was Renee she was very friendly very awesome and worked very hard I'm so glad we went there we will make it a frequent stop when we come through Amarillo“

“Paramount Recreation Club delivers on great service, excellent cocktails, and a stylish ambience that makes for a memorable night out. The staff is attentive, and the drinks are crafted with real care, making it an easy place to enjoy a few rounds and conversations.
That said, the crowd can sometimes be a mix, with a few know-it-all socialites that can dampen the otherwise fantastic vibe. It’s not enough to take away from the quality of the venue itself, but something to be mindful of.

The two best bartenders I've ever seen, and not that I need meetings, but I DRINK. The patrons stay happy, which makes the place my favorite bar in Amarillo. Anywhere you get that many happy people gathered, good things are bound to happen.“

“We had reservations since it was Valentine's Day and a Saturday night. It was a very busy time, but we were seated two minutes before our reservation. We had excellent service and there was not a lengthy wait for the food. There were a lot of happy people, enjoying their dinners and the ambience was great.“

“Coconutz is an excellent example of a good hone town bar! This place is a locals favorite. The owner Barrett is a very friendly person and is often there. He is a local artist as well. Coconutz is a place that is inviting and makes everyone feel welcome. The jukebox is always playing. You can play a game of washers or sit out on the patio and enjoy the weather. This is a great place to relax, chill and connect with your friends.“
“When in Texas we crave authentic Texas BBQ; Shi Lee’s BBQ and Soul Food Amarillo Texas was exactly what we wanted. No frills roll up my sleeves moist ribs with a thin crisp bark. Oh so good my mouth waters as I type. Take out only was available from a run down shack with smokers in the back, we could smell the delightful aroma of smoked meat as we pulled up. Please see my pictures. Our meals came with two freshly made sides. Next time I will ask for my side salad to be placed in a separate to go plate to keep it cool and crisp. I loved their perfectly prepared collard greens and fried orca. This was a satisfying take out BBQ meal.“

“It is a little weird to be in a smoking bar. Honestly that's a plus though even though I don't smoke myself. The happy hour price on bottles is great. It's the unfortunate experience of having to discuss my order with the bartender that earns the three stars.(I actually bumped this up a star. But it wouldn't have hurt for the bartender to have have begun the conversation a bit more upbeat.)“

“This place is very cool! The bar tender was really nice and we had cocktails for 2.50 before 7. We had a chance to talk to the owners and they were welcoming and friendly. If you have a chance to go to this place, don’t miss it. It doesn’t seem like a typical “tourist attraction”.“
“Man...I've been in some dive bars and this one is ok...I guess. Guy serving was very nice, but music being played was just odd, trash not emptied...looked extremely lazy operation even for a dive bar. But cheap drinks made up for the other stuff...so it's fine“

“Last night we decided to go to the Hoffbrau Steak and Grill House for dinner. If you are ever in Amarillo, don't go here expecting German type food. But please try it anyway for some awesome American-Texan food. I had the Smoked Sirloin with corn on the cob and Tonya had the Shrimp and Grits. Both meals were great and the service was very good also. Tonya also a Pretty in Pink drink (which was a little too tart for my taste, but she really liked it) All in all, I would rate this place a 10 out of 10!“

“Stopped in on a road trip and split a burger with cheese, bacon & mayo, substituted the side chips for fries. I love fries that have the skin on. 1/2 burger was perfect size without being stuffed. We did start with their queso and chips that were very good. We also ate the queso bowl which was good too. Great service and the live music was nice. He had a nice voice and not too loud that I could still hear the other people at our table.“

“Aside from the outstanding food and the wonderful selection of bourbons. Two of the best bartenders I've ever had served me General manager came by and the gentleman at the host stand was wonderful that our table wasn't ready at the specific time, but asked if we wanted a cocktail on the house . everybody who works there is truly passionate about the restaurant just overall wonderful experience its a must try when you're in Amarillo“

“This was an amazing experience, we showed up 20 minutes till close and the amazing man Zack at the bar did not hesitate to help us, and on top of that he made me the most amazing drink and what’s even better he’s keeping his best friend alive by telling his story and bartending in his memory!
