Don't let the exterior fool you! While it isn't the prettiest restaurant, it seems so comfortable inside. We were greeted by everyone and shown a comfy spot to sit so we could watch the TV if we chose to do so. We were offered a variety of beverages and settled on sweet tea. It was so refreshing! Everyone was very friendly and made sure we enjoyed our meals. I ordered the special-salisbury steak, collard greens, and Mac and cheese. With a corn muffin. There was nothing......
we ALWAYS make a point to stop by Shi Lee’s during our road trips up to Colorado after finding this gem last year (we’re from Austin). The food is out of this world delicious. There has only been one wonderful lady every time we’ve stopped by and she is welcoming, attentive and full of southern charm. We didn’t mind waiting as she fixed us a plate and found the change of pace relaxing. It’s nice actually getting to relish food for once and appreciate the labor it takes...
So... Definitely a hole in the wall resturaunt. The owner, I would describe as hood. Lol. The food was reasonable. The sides tasted like it was premade (canned and boxed) with her own added seasonings, even the hot water corn bread tasted boxed as well. But great presentation
