El pollo loco is just not the same. They got rid of their house (mild salsa) and the Pico they have now is riddles with jalapeños. The chicken was good this time but other times it's been burnt and dry. The restaurant was super dirty. Nearly all the tables had food on them and there was no one in the restaurant. Really disappointing because el pollo loco used to be a favorite place to get non fried chicken.
((Very good chicken taquitos)) As it turned out I loved their salsa bar it is now gone, a victim of covid and apparently will never return. The food is just ok without the salsa bar, and they no longer sell the taquitos.

I went there to get a two-piece leg and thighs with mac and cheese and rice. The employee that served me was great, his name was Mario Palma Jr. I will really come back thanks to him, the chicken was excellent!!
