“This restaurant is in the winery at the Tara Inn. It's a rustic, casual setting behind the grand house/inn and has delicious food. The wine was pretty good -- our favorite was the Carriage House Red and we got a bottle with dinner. We ordered tri-tip and ribeye dinners and both came with a scrumptious cabernet reduction sauce. The brownie was particularly good for dessert with that red wine! Very friendly staff and chef.“

“Nice place with friendly staff. The chicken livers were cooked fresh upon our order and were simply splendid. Gravy on the side for dipping them in. Mashed potatoes and roll were basic but good. Sweet tea was made really well and they have the crushed ice. Peach cobbler was warm and amazing. Freshly made. Dining area and the bathrooms were spotless. Real clean environment with tasty food.“

“Our group was a party of 8, with four children between the ages of 3-13. When we walked in, the establishment was at about 40% capacity. Hostess told us the wait would be 30 minutes. We waited as she sat three families who came in after us. When we were finally seated it was at a table that had been empty since we got there. When we asked about the wait, the hostess said the reason for our wait was not because they were understaffed. It was not because there were large parties coming in. It was because they didn’t want to over work the staff.

I understand not wanting to overwork the staff, but this was not it. If being fully staffed and having a party of 8 is too much they either need to remove half the tables (15 of the 30 or so were empty), or retrain. Hostess was sweet enough, but a 30 minute wait with as many tables as they had available…. Yall are losing money.

The waitress that assisted us was spot on, but food was lacking in quality. Chicken Alfredo didn’t have any Alfredo, everything else was acceptable.

I was immediately contacted by Applebee’s asking for more detail about the incident and indicating they would retrain staff, confirming this type of service was unacceptable. I am appreciative of the actions taken to improve the process and will upgrade the stars as a result of this.“

“Tori was an excellence waitress from the moment she greeted us upon arriving at our table to the moment we left, she helped my wife and I pick out the perfect date night dinner and she was so playful with our 6 month old baby boy. The food was amazing and the vibes were friendly and relaxing. Definetly a dining experience I won’t forget !!!“

“I walked in, unknowingly, right at closing. I turned to leave, and the nice lady asked me if I would like an order to go. She saved me from motel Ramen. And the food was great. The shrimp were tasty. The chicken was moist. I may go back tomorrow.“

“We took a group ride from south of Ft Worth and to say we were not disappointed is an understatement. We had a group of about 17 and the service was great. Food was hot and amazing not to mention it was not very expensive. Try the pork rinds. I noticed that any bad reviews mention another restaurant which is very suspicious to us. Come try Wawas, it is well worth it.“
