“Best lunch spot in east Texas! Great SW BBQ head chef plus family passed down true to Texas recipes equals food that I’m still daily dreaming about since I visited. The egg rolls! I heard angels singing!! The burnt ends, normally I find burnt ends way too fatty for my liking but these were cooked to a delicious perfection! And the smoke ring in every meat we had on the table was immaculate! I really don’t have enough kind words about my experience here. And yes it was an experience! The owner himself came out to meet and greet us while we enjoyed our feast, what a delightful, respectful and smart man he is. We talked about his trek to pit master, the amazing flavors in the recipes he is creating and how getting the buzz going out there for a must stop destination, my words- it is true!- is so hard to do, especially when most of the day is spent creating this menu that has me truly excited for! I’m so grateful that I found a true destination must go to BBQ place..if you are in East Texas, make a trip here. I promise that you will be thanking me. “Set out to take my teenager bowling for the first time and when we arrived at the bowling alley we where treated like garbage because they where busy , we decided to check you guys out just to do anything, well when we walked in we where greeted with nothing but smiles , staff turned our whole day around and we ended up having a wonderful time there , the prices where excellent, the place was clean and family friendly, , the vibe was perfect, so happy we ended up here , we will be coming as regulars from now on , so much fun , and again the staff where just absolutely delightful“
“It's a small restaurant with a nice and tidy environment. We ordered a chicken fried steak with sweet potato fries and mashed potatoes and a full lb cheeseburger. It was all really good. I wouldn't recommend the bacon wrapped mozzarella sticks because they were still frozen in the middle and had to be taken back. Apparently this happens often as the bacon makes it more difficult to cook through so I'd just stick to getting regular mozzarella sticks lol. Service was decent and I enjoyed my meal here, I will be back.“
“Would normally not have even tried a restaurant with less than 4 stars but after reading some of the (absolutely ridiculous) reviews we decided to give it a try. Arrived at 7:30 PM on an otherwise mundane Thursday evening. Were seated immediately upon entering. The atmosphere is a mishmash of eclectic and lakeside/nautical. The view, I'm sure, during the daylight is likely magnificent with the table to ceiling windows along the entire wall. Our sweet young waitress, Kelsey, was incredibly attentive. I always ask for both drink and entrée suggestions from wait staff. Kelsey suggested the pineapple coconut margarita. It was delicious! Not too sweet so absolutely perfect, if you ask me. Her fav entrée is either the chicken pot pie or the chicken fried steak unless it's Thursday and how lucky were we to have accidentally chosen Thursday to pop in! An 8 oz filet mignon so tender you can cut it with a fork, grilled veggies (yellow and zucchini squash with red onions) seasoned and cooked to literal perfection along with a loaded baked potato and a side salad for the just $29. I could easily eat here every Thursday evening!! Hubby had fried catfish which came with fries and coleslaw. I'm a catfish snob but I actually did love the couple of bites he traded me for a few bites of my amazing steak! While we are in town tomorrow, we will be back to watch the sunset and try Kelsey's other recommendations!! I highly recommend this little gem if you're on or near the lake!“
“Sweetest waitress! Baked potatoes are a serious size and generously topped. Beef was a little dry but sauce was really tasty. Spicy pinto beans were more of a baked bean and loaded with meat. Tasty potato salad but didn't care for the mac and cheese- bland cheese sauce. Prices were reasonable for the value.“

“Visited for lunch with a group of 10. Service was prompt and excellent for our large group. Every order was correct. The food was fresh and delicious, and prices reasonable. I am anxious to visit again.UPDATE:Shortly after my group visited, the organizer received a message that an earring was found in the restaurant, thinking it may have been one in our group. It was me! They were so kind and thoughtful to try to reunite the earring with the owner. This gave me a great excuse to visit again the following week to get my earring and have lunch again. “I cannot speak highly enough about Pinnacle’s on-staff golf pro - Coach Sean. He is truly a different breed. He worked so well with my 12-yr old son, improved his swing immensely, and gave him some awesome opportunities to learn beyond just a driving range - but actually on a course. This guy knows his stuff and will try many different techniques to find something that works.The course is very pretty and the rest of the staff is extremely pleasant as well.“

“New owner "Phill" and his newly hired/trainded staff are turning this place around. When the new sign is erected, the new Menu will come out. In the meantime, the burgers have gotten 300% better and fresher tasting than that in the past by the previous owner. Phil does update posting on Facebook..but should also join Nextdoor...as many folks in Middleton refuse to do anything with Facebook.“

“Lisa is the best server ever , Dakota the manager was very intuitive, and made sure we were taking care of the overnight Cook cooked our chicken very well and most of all it was the cleanest store. I’ve seen in a while I’m very critical because I used to work for Jenny for 20 years. I’m very critical out of all the Dennys I’ve been at in the last four years this one made me super proud of the cleanliness and the hospitality. Everybody should go eat there specially, on late night and support Lisa because she is the best server and very beautiful inside and out.“
“My wife and I stopped in Sunday 03/17/2024 for our first time. Our server was Brianna and she was amazing! She checked on us often and made us feel so welcome. The cook even brought my food out to us and introduce himself and asked if we need anything. Didn't get his name (sorry) but they were both amazing and welcoming. Brianna is amazing and great at what she does. You are very lucky to have such great staff.“
“I've been coming to this place for over thirty years. Was so excited whenever they reopened after the pandemic. This place had the best chicken fried steak anywhere! I get that at every restaurant I go to and nobody has been able to beat McClain's CFS! The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because of my waitress caring more about the other customers than myself. When I was ready for my check and a to go box, I had to wait a while because my waitress was sitting at a table with other customers. I made eye contact a few times to try to get her attention but she kept just sitting there talking so I had to ask a different lady for a to go box and drink. She went up to my waitress for the ticket, which she handed over and then sat right back down with those customers. Ugh!“
