Absolutely amazing food! The gyro was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. One of the best halal food trucks I’ve tried in Austin. The owner is also incredibly friendly, welcoming, and takes great care of his customers. Highly recommend Ali Gyro Halal to anyone looking for delicious halal food!

Ali Gyro Halal is a great food cart in downtown, known for its extremely delicious and well-spiced dishes. Customers praise the Philly cheesesteak packed with meat and a nice Mediterranean spice, as well as the flavorful platter with rice and a combo of spicy and creamy sauce. The gyros are excellent, and the salad is refreshing with sauce on the side option. The hummus and pita are also highly recommended, with fresh and thick hummus loaded with oil and paprika. The Beef Shawarma with fries was great, with a simplicity of meat and fries with sauce. Customers also enjoyed the Lamb Gyro combo, full of flavor and perfect seasoning with a bed of rice and veggies, though more veggies would be awesome. The portions are big, perfect for sharing or saving for later. The staff was super nice, and the service was great. This is one of the few open places in downtown Austin on a Monday, a delicious midnight snack, and a top choice for Halal food in the area.
