stopped for a beer cause the band had horns. brass. love it. pretty empty monday night but beers at $4 so its cheap and the music is good. i can see when it's packed it's a bit more alluring
Wandering the area, I was 100% drawn to Bat Bar Austin because of their awesome sign and the crazy music being played. It's a rectangle-shaped place, so head straight on back for the bar and seating options. Not as packed as I expected on a Friday night but what fun! I actually came back to end the night here after hopping down 6th. Love the sign, instant attraction. But the music is really what drew me in. DJ was playing some 00- today era hip hop. There's a stage in the front, but on this day it was just the DJ, a few random girls and some drunk guy. Go to the back for the regular bar AND the shot bar! The bartenders were great, one even came on the floor to dance with us.
