Best menudo IMHO in Austin, and I’ve been to a lot of places. If you add the Pata de Res (beef foot) it’s a little pricey ($7 extra) but it’s worth it. The gelatinous collagen will be sticking to your lips as you stumble out of the restaurant. Enjoy!
I ordered two chicken tacos and they were $6.50 each for this. I asked for no bell pepper and onions but they didn't put lettuce, tomato and cheese. $6 a taco is too high my opinion.
Gloria is an excellent food serve. She remembered what liked from several years ago.
I miss my buddy, Shorty.
They have some of the best breakfast tacos. The carne guisada with rice and cheese is my favorite and go to at this spot. Plus, they have live mariachi bands on Sunday.
A humble little spot next to I35 with a lot to offer. Parking can be a bit tricky, but I managed to find a spot without too much trouble.
The food was excellent—everything was fresh and flavorful. The staff stood out for their friendliness and consistently polite service. The breakfast tacos were generously sized and satisfying.
I tried the menudo con patas, and honestly, it's the best I’ve had in the Austin area. Rich, authentic, and perfectly seasoned.
If you're a fan of delicious, traditional Mexican food, this place is definitely worth a visit.
If you’re looking for fresh, incredibly delicious and home style Mexican food definitely check out this restaurant! My first consideration is always the salsa. Trust me it’s spicy and flavorful! 2nd consideration is the verde sauce! Again, spicy and so smooth. Try the chicken enchiladas with the verde sauce. You can’t go wrong. My third consideration is the chile relleno. Lots of restaurants don’t serve it. If you’ve never tried it, you’ll love it here. The margaritas are to my liking, because I can’t drink them sweet, and the servers are a team! Always keeping an eye on each other’s tables. I highly recommend this restaurant! Support locally owned businesses! This one has been around for a long time!
It may be a small restaurant but the flavor the food has is huge 👌 😋 the best authentic Hispanic food in Austin come check it out.

I came into town from out of town looking for some decent birria. I ordered three tacos - fajita, barbacoa, and birria - along with a consomme. The birria was incredibly dry, the barbacoa lacked flavor and seemed old, and the fajita was overly greasy. To make matters worse, the flour tortillas seemed store-bought and they charged extra for the chilaquiles plate. The salsa options were limited to a single raw red one. Despite advertising aguas frescas, they turned out to be made from syrup rather than actual fruit. My total came out to $53.04, which was definitely not worth it! I will never be returning to this place!

Great for nice simple Mexican meals.
I always choose their carne guisada.
They have great salsa for their chips.
There's a hidden cocktail bar in the side room.
