I came into town from out of town looking for some decent birria. I ordered three tacos - fajita, barbacoa, and birria - along with a consomme. The birria was incredibly dry, the barbacoa lacked flavor and seemed old, and the fajita was overly greasy. To make matters worse, the flour tortillas seemed store-bought and they charged extra for the chilaquiles plate. The salsa options were limited to a single raw red one. Despite advertising aguas frescas, they turned out to be made from syrup rather than actual fruit. My total came out to $53.04, which was definitely not worth it! I will never be returning to this place!
Great little restaurant. Originally thought this was an inexpensive taqueria. Has that kind of old school feel. The pricing was high for taqueria food but it turned out food was great. Definitely updated over time to accommodate a new Austin. Service was excellent and food came out quickly. I will definitely be coming back to support a mom and pop business like this one.
