Gustavo was amazing and his loosey goosey shots were to die for!! I had plenty, hard to resist from taking more since they tasted so amazing 10/10 best bar out of the 6 I visited within the 2 days I was in Austin.

El Cockfight is a fun little bar with a lively atmosphere and a relaxed, local feel. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere stands out: stylish, welcoming, and full of great energy. The rooftop is fun and lively, with loud but not overbearing music. Fresh, hand made tacos are available for sale (tent style, order yourself). Drinks are well-made and reasonably priced. Bartenders are friendly without being pushy, though one interaction with the bartender Dylaan was met by a particularly condescending response. The vibe leans energetic, good music, people actually having a good time, so it’s better for a casual night out than a quiet drink. The crazy maze of dark stairs is all part of the adventure and experience. An amazing bar, easily the best on the entire street. Solid spot to start the night or hang out with friends for a few rounds.
