Always top notch. Kids turned 14 today and Kapatad was their dinner request. They have asked for Yard House every year since they were 2, Kapatad has stolen their hearts.

Amazing food and service! We had the crispy pata, sesame beef, and orange chicken, all gluten free, and it was all incredible! We were already planning our next meal here before we even left! This is my first time having Filipino food, but the Chinese dishes were the best I’ve had in years!

This was my first time trying filipino cuisine and it did not disappoint. I ordered a fish special and it was quite literally one of the best dishes I’ve had. The saltiness and crispiness of the fish paired lovely with the coconut sauce. Must try! For desert I ordered Halo-Halo. It was a different experience but i had to try it. It wasn’t my favorite but id order it again. Definitely recommend this spot.

If you want to eat dinner here, make sure your in before 6pm or else they’re going to rush you and constantly remind you that they’re closing soon.

We showed up at 6:29pm on a Friday evening. Online says they close at 8pm, door says dine-in ends at 7:15pm, and the second we sat down the waitress came to take our order and said they were about to close. At 6:49pm another waiter went and put a “Closed” sign on the door even though 3 other families had come in after us and more were showing up every few minutes.

Not sure if it was just a weird day but other reviews say something similar.

Food was OK.

Food is very good here and the service is like no other I have experienced. We had a few people continuously checking on us to make sure everything was good and to get us what we needed is like the whole crew gets involved like a family. Very warm and welcoming place we will definitely return.

Our family has been going here for as long as I can remember, over the course of two name changes and (I think) one transfer in ownership. used to be a Chinese restaurant if you can believe it, now a Filipino place and has been for a while. they’ve kept the Chinese food on the menu but the quality has steadily gone downhill over the years.

We can’t comment on the Filipino menu items, perhaps they’re great. I’d believe that Kapatad is a 5 star Filipino restaurant. But the Chinese food on the menu is inedible at this point, and we likely won’t return for it.

For their sake and the sake of it’s patrons: I hope Kapatad either improves the quality of its Chinese food offering or removes it from its menu to focus fully on what it does best and is most passionate about.

Really good. Happy to have this in the neighborhood an absolute hack. I ordered off the Chinese menu probably the best Chinese food I've had in over a year.

Gonna come back for the other dishes but from a takeout perspective can't be beaten

Kapatad was a licky find for us. Half the menu was Asian and half Filipino. Kapatad means Siblings in Filipino and as explained to me, has a colloquial meaning of community and friendship The service was indeed great. There was beer service, but I did not check to see if there were other bar items available. The menu had both vegan and meat dishes, and my husband and I shared the two dishes between us, and had leftovers to take home to finish another day. They were delicious both at the restaurant and later at home. I highly recommend the place.

My two guests enjoyed their Sizzling Pork Sisig. The Nilasing na Hipon prawns
were served unpeeled, heads-on, and cooked in a heavy savory sauce. They were hard and messy to de-shell and eat. The sugar content in the savory sauce was too high for me.

Ambiance - Cozy, bordering on Elegant. Love the interior, especially the bench linimg one wall. They do have exterior seating but would prefer to be inside, esp during Texas summer. Would recommend reservations to be assured of table(s) inside.

Food - is definitely good. While there, we tried : sisig, lechon kawali, pork bbq, lumpia shanghai. Sisig could use more peppers, but it still was delicious. We loved the pork bbq that it wasn't served in skewers - didn't look liked they used them either, but it was convenient to enjoy without awkwardly trying to remove them from skewers.

Could definitely go back for more and to try more entrees. Would highly recommend it. My friend quipped that it was way better than Gerry's Grill. 👍
