An absolutely incredible place to have a great food experience. This was our fourth time visiting, and our first since Hestia received its Michelin star. All members of the front of house staff that attended to our table were inviting, entertaining, and enthusiastic. We felt like a part of the family, particularly as they were helping us celebrate our anniversary! Every dish of their tasting menu offered a really intriguing and delicious take on open hearth preparation. We particularly loved the beef and guanciale dish with the green Thai sauce as well as their staple take on seared scallop. I also left the meal thinking about how simple but beautiful their preparation of kanpachi with pickled roselles was. Lastly, I have to mention that at the end of the meal. It wasn't until my husband and I looked at our watches that we realized that 2 1/2 hours had gone by. The meal was so expertly timed between the care of the front of house staff, the chef, and kitchen that it never felt like we were waiting for anything. Everything flowed like clockwork. Our heartiest congratulations to Hestia on another Michelin star well deserved.

Hands down the best restaurant experience I've ever had. The tasting menu was so delicious. It's worth the drive to eat at this Michelin Star restaurant. 🌟

Hestia was lovely, and I will be back. They took wonderful care of us and the ribeye was amazing!

Fantastic experience all around. Our group of six had plenty of food, which was our main concern going in, but every dish was generous and really well done. The flavors were great across the board, and the green beans ended up being the biggest surprise of the night, incredible. Service was attentive without hovering, and the atmosphere worked perfectly for a small group. We left full and happy.

We had an incredible experience at Hestia. Tiffany, the host, was amazing, she set us up at the bar when we arrived a few minutes early, and before we knew it, we were seated in a perfect booth with a great view of the open kitchen. Lea, our waitress, was fantastic, super knowledgeable and warm. She walked us through the menu and gave excellent recommendations we absolutely loved. The charred corn bite and the halibut main were both unreal, perfectly balanced flavors and stunning presentation. The food, service, and atmosphere were all 10/10. And the personal touch for my wife's birthday, handwritten notes waiting on the table, really made the night extra special. You can tell the team truly cares about creating a memorable experience. Can't wait to come back and try the tasting menu with the wine pairing next time.

My second visit to Hestia. I visited a year ago and was a little disappointed given its reputation. Food and service both lacking but I thought I'd try again to be fair. This experience was even worse. Requested garden seating knowing how loud the dining room was but they moved us inside because of staffing issues. So loud we had to yell at each other and couldn't fully hear the staff. Service lacking. Nice attitudes but plates not changed out as expected between courses. And then the food was the biggest issue. I live complex flavors and layers but each dish seemed to be a compilation of every ingredient in the kitchen. Too much sauce on the halibut. And the greens beans were swimming in oil. Inedible. We did not complain but did mention the green beans when asked why we didn't eat much of them. I'm thinking this second visit sealed the deal and I won't take anyone else.

Hestia had the best of everything. It was the best cornbread I've ever had, the best beef tartare I've ever had, and the best wagyu. Even the nonalcoholic drinks were amazing. The Michelin star rating is evident.

The food was sublime, the staff very friendly. The only point I wasn't too happy about was the noise level. It's one room, and therefore we had to speak quite loud to hear each other. Apart from that; I would eat there without hesitation. The food is good, without resorting to molecular cooking tricks. What they do in their hearth is absolutely great! The mocktails were absolutely amazing as well.

The food and service were both amazing, uniquely, and great experience. The service was thoughtful and welcoming. The good was delicate, and thoughtful, and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant...if it fits the budget. We have visited numerous Michelin rated restaurants all over the world (Germany, Croatia, Italy, Ireland, France and America), and enjoy paying for that experience. I do feel that Hestia was a bit high in the pricing category. Instead of $750 for two (and one wine pairing). II would have left a better taste in my mouth to be paying $250-$300 for nine courses per person. Or...$350 per for a 15 - 17 course. This is one of the higher priced Michelin rated restaurants we have visited...and it's in our home town! To be clear -I do recommend checking Hestia out. The service was great, the food deserves the rating it has earned, but know that you will be paying a more premium price for a smaller tasting compared to other equally renowned restaurants. If you are in the habit of visiting highly rated restaurants, the pricing is what it is, but is clearly a bit higher than you may be used to.

The meal from start to finish was amazing. Creative but mindful dishes. The staff was very attentive and informative. I will definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Austin or next time I come back I will be coming again!

This was unfortunately underwhelming for us. Most of the dishes were small bites and just really bland, no punch or flavor. We got seated at the "chef's table" which sat directly across from the kitchen to view the action. Unfortunately this was really just a busy pathway for all the staff standing right in front of you, the table was too dark, no ambient lighting, and didnt feel "special" at all. It was also super smokey- we left smelling of wood smoke. The only saving grace was the main dish at the end- the Halibut. That dish was perfection, I would come back, sit in a nice quiet corner and just order that.

We did the tasting menu, which was a great showcase of everything the restaurant has to offer, from ingredients to open-hearth cooking techniques. The dishes were all so different from each other, with unique combinations of flavors that balanced each other or provided layered nuanced experiences. The most impressive thing was the service, how the staff were well-informed on the menu and offerings, able to make good recommendations based on palate and combinations, and made everything very not-intimidating and enjoyable. Everyone was enthusiastic and energetic, which is rare to see in such a busy environment. And very much enjoyed the thoughtful touches that made for a special anniversary dining experience. Thanks!

Cornbread and caviar, wouldn't have it any other way in Austin. Hestia nails the Austin vibe, delivering an experience that's upscale yet relaxed, casual and cool without the stuffiness. I've heard so much recently about Hestia and glad we were able to reserve a spot for the chef tasting. The 12-courses were perfectly portioned, with us barely able to finish it all. We opted for the wine pairing and it made the experience that much more special. The servers came with the right timing and educated us on all the wine pick stories. Food was incredible. I think we said Wow at least 10 times throughout the dinner. Can't go wrong! Pro tip: Don't get a cocktail before dinner if you're getting the wine pairing, lol. And definitely use ride share!

Had an anniversary meal here when visiting from out of town and it was excellent. The food was incredible with interesting and rich flavors. They made the celebration feel extra special with extra hospitality touches. Highly recommend and wish we could come back more often!
