“First time ever going to a hot pot restaurant. Our waiter Bryan was excellent. He was friendly , welcoming and Explained how everything worked and created an exceptional experience for my family and I. We will def make the drive again from New Braunfels to eat here again!!!“

“Always delicious, especially on a lovely cold overcast day! I get the make-your-own noodle soup bowl with Thai red curry, udon, chicken, and various veggies, and it always hits the spot (I realize this is an odd combo but hey, they let you do what you want, so why not). One of the few places in town that will let you customize your hot pot/soups like this, and I appreciate that they come in single (but large) servings so you and your friends can get different flavors. IMO most of the trendy hot pot places in town are crazy overpriced and the broth is not that good, but Basil Thai has fantastic broth AND reasonable prices.
I believe that the owner is usually the one waiting on tables as I always see her here. She is very conscientious and clearly cares if her customers are having a good experience. Only thing I will mention is that they do love to serve the soups at a nuclear temperature, so the first bite is going to numb your tongue if you're not paying attention! (kinda like this anyways, I hate getting served lukewarm soup)“

“This is me and my husband’s go-to comfort-food hotpot restaurant. We always get the double flavor hot pot with the Szechuan spicy broth and the red braised broth, since he can tolerate more spice than me. The handmade noodles and beef tripe are always great, and something about the sauce bar is head-and-shoulders above other hotpot places. I love when I come here and they’re playing c-pop; I’ll always remember coming on my husband’s birthday and they were playing 《祝我生日快乐》 (“Wish Me Happy Birthday”) by Landy Wen.“
