Juniper Reviews
I will not patronize a restaurant that imposes a "3% wellness charge to pay for health benefits for our staff." If the restaurant owners believe health benefits are important for their employees (and I agree they are), they should provide that employment benefit and price their menu accordingly. Why not be honest and up-front with your employees and customers instead of backing into this mandatory tip to cover your operating expenses. Very poor business practice!

Juniper offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with excellent service that many guests praise. The menu features highlights such as focaccia, little gem salad, and house-made pastas described as ethereal. Dishes like cacio e pepe and budino receive high marks for their flavor. The restaurant embraces vegetarian options, including a full vegetarian tasting menu. The ambiance is cute and elegant, though seating near the window may sometimes have temperature or cleanliness issues. The staff is known for their professionalism and warmth, making guests feel special and well cared for. Juniper combines modern sophistication with Southern charm, creating a memorable dining experience. Recent visits highlight the hospitality, with chef specials and personalized service that make guests feel celebrated. The chef's table offers a cozy, low-light setting, perfect for special occasions. The food, especially the pastas, is often described as divine, with the rock shrimp pasta and pork pasta standing out as favorites. Drinks are carefully prepared and unique, adding to the meticulous attention to detail. Overall, Juniper remains highly recommended for those seeking one of Austin's finest meals.
