Solid breakfast tacos. The John special is great especially with avocado sauce. My partner enjoyed her migas taco and shrimp taco. Bright yellow building and friendly service. Nice patio at the Spicewoods island.

Food was pretty good, I ordered the chorizo & egg and potato and egg tacos while my partner had the shrimp tacos. My ONLY reservation is the tortillas. They’re not made in house, and unfortunately thats what makes or breaks a taco - is a good tortilla. Besides that, I was a bit disappointed to have paid $3 for a tiny little Tropicana OJ with “*Ingredients not found in regular orange juice,” on the label whatever that means. I’m not disappointed for trying this place, but I can’t say I have a reason to return if not for the appeal of the $1 mimosas on the weekend happy hour.
Service was prompt and polite, and the restaurant itself has an amazing atmosphere which could make up for the food if that’s more important to you. I’m sure it’d be a great spot to have a quick lunch with friends or family but I was hoping to scratch my taco itch while on a trip in Austin and just couldn’t stand the doughy, pale tortillas.

Walked in a 915pm and tried to order and was met by rudeness. She said Togo orders only cause they close at 10. Was rude the whole time we were trying to order

The tacos here are trash so they rely on giving tickets for parking in their parking lot that is always empty to keep the business going.
The food was disgustingly gross. The tortillas I’m pretty sure are basic store bought ones, the lettuce is bagged lettuce and the fried avocado batter was bland. We left out entire tacos and left after just one bit in each one. The veggies and corn seem to have no flavor and also probably bagged. I could make better tacos with more flavor and less cost at home. Definitely will not be returning but also do not recommend.
Vegetarian options: We only tried the veggie options and they were limited and gross.

Was looking forward to trying them out. Ordered my bean-cheese-bacon on corn tortillas tacos. They were delivered to the table and would have been 5-stars, but they were on flour AND the folks who take food to the tables don’t check for accuracy. Bummer.
VISIT #2: really want to love this place. I DON’T WANT FLOUR TORTILLAS!!! I told the young lacy that me previous visit made my tacos with flour and I wanted corn. She kinda smiled at me. I told her even the food runner didn’t check the order (tacos are not wrapped—served open face on a plate. Ordered the same exact thing I had gotten on previous visit, and STILL GOT FLOUR! She delivered the order to our table, and I looked down at my plate and asked, “are those corn?” She answered “no,” and took them back into the kitchen. Not sure if it’s a ESL language problem (I switched to Spanish for part of my conversation during ordering). The receipt showed “corn” so the cooks got it wrong BOTH times, but the runner should check the order as they get it ready to deliver it to the table.
Parking: Kinda tough navigating through the parking lot because of where the entrances are.

Carnitas, fire chick, and chips + queso were all fine, and at a very reasonable price (basically $15 for all three).

Been here once before and food wasn’t bad. This is second time here. Was NOT good. Got the fire chick taco and there was more tortilla than flavorless non spice chicken. Wish took a picture. The Baja shrimp was subpar, again no flavor. The Mr Toto - by far the worst of the three. Zero flavor, cold, and thought supposed to be queso on it but think there was more water than cheese in it. We tried to talk to the staff and all they offered was a warm tortilla! There will not be a third time !!!

Idk what happened?? I used to come here maybe 2 years ago and their tacos never missed, I ordered 2 fajita tacos 1 fire Chick and 1 bbq brisket- total 27$- so expensive now!! And honestly if the tacos were good I wouldn't mind the price but the chicken literally half of it was rubbery and the brisket taco was MID at best. Sorry this place declined like crazy and the place was a ghost town when I went inside.

The fries with chicken were better than the carnitas burrito. Ok tex mex food. The mural and the place are pretty, but maybe lacks a bit of authenticity.
