I frequently bring out of towners to Licha's, and it always delivers. It's exactly what someone visiting Austin wants when they say they want “good Mexican food,” it's convenient, a great value, and as casual or classy as you want it to be.
Soooo good! The table had a green and a red sauce (both quite spicy) and every table was presented with a bag of chips for dipping. I had the chicken mole. The sauce was delicious, and the chicken thigh was moist. It was served with squash and a side of rice. Just the right amount of spice for an overall delicious dish. My friend ordered the fish tacos (a new item on the menu) and she said they were delicious. We sat in the side area outside and it was pleasant, as they had misters...
We had a nice lunch at Licha's. Salads and tacos were very good. The atmosphere was colorful and festive. The pitcher of margaritas was a good deal and a great way to kick off a Saturday afternoon in Austin. No complaints!
